Summary

Can PDE5 inhibitors like Viagra or Cialis help stop cancer from spreading and what off-label uses are people discussing?

Forum users note growing interest in PDE5 inhibitors for pumps and blood pressure in bodybuilding circles, with a new article suggesting sildenafil may limit cancer metastasis. Several mention Cialis as potentially preferable due to its longer duration and list additional perks like exercise capacity and prostate support, while one user started a low daily dose. Skepticism arises around study motives and older claims about semen and mood, and some note the original heart-disease intent behind Viagra.

People in biohacking and lifting groups often take PDE5 inhibitors, favoring Cialis for its extended duration, to get better pumps in training and bring down blood pressure. Looks like there could be further upsides though. Surprising that something meant for erections might affect cancer progression so much. The piece covers the active compound in Viagra. Also learned these meds get used off-label in women for certain lung pressure problems and arousal difficulties.

I noticed the same thing posted on X.

Healthline really should have included the direct link to the research instead of skipping it.

Seems like any of the PDE5 inhibitors could offer similar effects. That makes Cialis the stronger option given how long it stays active. I only began looking into its upsides recently and the findings make it sound almost too good, comparable to Reta in impact. Reduced blood pressure, better workouts, possible protection against dementia, prostate relief, and more. I began a low daily amount just last week.

Viagra was first developed with heart conditions in mind, but the side effects turned out more useful for another purpose.

Lifters also take it to improve pumps in the gym. I never noticed much difference myself.

They probably won't struggle to find volunteers for any trial.

I recall an older study claiming women who swallow semen showed lower depression rates. Not saying the current claims are false, but it feels like there might be some bias at play. Edit: tracked down the Psychology Today piece from 2011 and an earlier one, though those looked at vaginal exposure. Internet claims exist about swallowing but no actual studies turned up.

I want that study right away. I've been saying the same thing to my wife for years and now I have proof.

Haha, located it in Psychology Today from 2011.

It also seems helpful against hair loss.
