Local vs Systemic for BPC+TB

5 replies5 peopleMay 20, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

Does injecting BPC and TB locally near an injury site work better than systemic use for things like back facet joints or shoulder issues?

Users report noticing faster relief and shorter recovery times when injecting the blend close to problem areas such as shoulders, knees, and lower back. Systemic abdominal or thigh shots still produced benefits at distant sites like elbows and shoulders for some. One participant shifted timing to before activity after hearing that the compound may not cross fascia barriers. Overall the thread leans toward local use when feasible but notes practical limits like lack of fat padding.

Whether daily systemic use already speeds healing enough to make local shots unnecessary, or how well either method compares to standard anti-inflammatories for facet joint or post-surgical shoulder inflammation

Nothing here is advice.

Anyone know if BPC and TB work better when put right near an injury instead of just a general shot? I take a daily dose already but right now I have swelling around some facet joints in my back and maybe some flare-up at the AC joint in my shoulder that had surgery before. The back pain was bad but improving, the shoulder comes and goes. No real fat padding at either spot to inject into, and I couldn't find much practical experience online, mostly guesses. Does local use add anything once you're already on systemic, or is it basically the same? Not sure either one would even touch these spots better than regular anti-inflammatories, though maybe the daily dose is already helping me heal quicker than usual.

From what I've tried, putting the blend close to the trouble spot gave noticeable relief on shoulder, lower back, and knee issues. The knee was tricky so I used a skin fold just above it. As someone who rides trails a lot I'm usually dealing with something, so I can compare recovery speed pretty well, and site shots seemed to cut healing time almost in half.

I've tried BPC both ways and got more help from local use on my rotator cuff. TB I keep systemic for most cycles, though the last two doses spaced every three days I mixed in IGF-DES and injected all three right at the spot.

Local placement should end up working through the whole body the same as a regular systemic shot does. I just do sub-q in the abdomen and thigh and still see improvement in my shoulders and elbow.

Doctors aren't exactly popular here since we're handling our own stuff, but this one explains things clearly and works in regenerative medicine. He actually prescribes peptides to patients. Around the 41 minute mark he covers why he prefers sub-q overall, and I tend to agree so that's what I do.

Appreciate the replies. The video was useful even with the background noise, and the part about it not crossing fascia lines up with what I needed to hear. Sounds like the better window for me would be right before a workout or run instead of at bedtime like I've been doing.
