I'm tall myself so I'll add my experience. After bariatric surgery years back the target they gave was 180 lb as ideal. I reached the low 220s and looked unwell. My doctor and I decided 240 felt better and set that as the goal instead.
My son is much taller than me. Since high school we've had to adapt everything around him like longer beds, ceiling-mounted shower heads, extended mower handles and snow shovels. Now at 25 he wants to drop some weight. Looking at BMI charts for tall guys, the healthy range middle for someone 6'3" is listed around 170 lb, which seems crazy. He swam competitively with long daily practices and never got near that light. He'd look like nothing but bones. How do tall guys actually settle on a goal weight?
