Immediate reaction after 0.5mg injection

It was a 31 g 6 mm needle. I went straight in, maybe with a slight angle. Site was about 7-8 cm beside the belly button. First time using this vial. I had filtered it earlier with a 0.22 µm PES filter and transferred it into a fresh vial.

I never had issues before. I used to inject tirzepatide with the pen and also with insulin syringes for the golden dose without problems. Maybe the dull needle was the cause? There was resistance that I do not normally feel when injecting.

So the fix is just to swap the needle after drawing from the vial? I think I may have hit a vessel. Hunger suppression started within a few hours and heart rate felt higher, which I understand can happen with reta.

Not that I know of. I have never seen that and you would need a luer-lock syringe plus spare needles. What brand of syringes are you using?

A higher heart rate can be measured directly. The sense of it might come from anxiety, which itself raises heart rate. Hesitation while injecting can make the whole experience less pleasant. My own injections went better when I paid more attention to technique than when I got careless. Hard to say for sure with a new kit or vial.

My resting rate stays pretty low, usually 72-76 and lately around 76. I have a cardiologist appointment tomorrow and expect comments on the weight drop from 207 last year to about 182-183 now. I was up to 215 around December-January when I began this.

NAD+ is known for that kind of reaction. MOTS-c by IM is even worse for some people. CJC with IPA can also trigger strong systemic responses. With 6 mm needles I find laying the skin flat helps most for comfort in the abdomen. I sometimes use the upper arm too. I go straight in with the short needles and use a 45-degree angle for longer ones.

Vasovagal reactions involve a drop in blood pressure and heart rate that can lead to fainting, so the symptoms here do not match that at all.
