That worry has definitely occurred to me too. I have tracked calories for more than a year now, not counting the eight months I did back in 2020. Between 2020 and 2021 I went from 240 to 185 pounds just by logging everything and never going to a gym. When I quit tracking I climbed back to 225 and stayed there. Early last year I added the gym five days a week and dropped to 190 pounds of leaner muscle by early 2026. Because I already built those habits I see the medication as something extra on top of them, not something that takes their place. It has made a big difference in the short time since I began.
I have not reached my target yet but have already dropped a good amount again. Like many others I have tried lots of diets before, lost weight, then put it all back on along with the usual guilt. What makes anyone think this round will hold up over time while the medication continues?
