Summary

Does retatrutide reduce arthritis or joint pain based on user experiences?

Several users report noticeable relief from foot, knee, shoulder, thumb and finger pain after starting retatrutide, with one case becoming completely pain-free after two months at 8 mg. Dosing often began low and increased quickly with minimal side effects noted, alongside body composition changes. Doctors were sometimes informed and reacted positively, though others advise caution with disclosure.

My earlier years involved amateur road cycling competitions that caused repeated damage to the right knee ligaments and cartilage along with a calf strain. Running stopped entirely because of the lost cushioning there while any trail walking produced noticeable swelling. Arthritis showed up in the left foot around twelve months ago restricting me to short strolls filled with unease. Nearing my mid sixties I questioned whether time outdoors in scenic regions had ended. I then began a medication for its effects on glucagon after seeing study results on joint relief for some participants. Dosing started low with slow increases reaching a steady higher amount several weeks back. Foot aches began easing after about a month and vanished completely within two. The growth near the big toe remains but pressing it hurts less now. Moderate climbs no longer trigger knee swelling. Evening visits to the gym now feature treadmill sessions which still surprises me. Mentioning the change to my joint doctor would be satisfying and maybe others dealing with matching problems could relate.

Thanks for posting your experience. This is really strong. Pity there is so much risk in telling an MD about what we are trying, especially now that AI is starting to write the medical notes. Once med seeking shows up on the record...

Good to hear the improvement! Always great when these things bring real life changes. That was a fairly fast titration schedule.. how did the side effects go for you?

Thanks πŸ™‚ I researched reta quite a bit before starting. Kept ginger ready in case of nausea. Began slowly as advised and never felt any appetite drop or other side effects. The aim was to reach 8-12 mg as fast as seemed safe. At 4 mg with still no appetite change I looked it up online and found it fairly common. The only notable side effect was feeling tired for about a week. I stayed at 8 mg since results were good. I also lost the old man boobs, love handles disappeared, chest firmed up and abs are beginning to show. I was on 50 mg TRT weekly, doubled it and went to the gym daily. Started at 160 lbs in my profile picture and now at 143. Goal is to match Jake Gyllenhaal's shape in Road House. Edit: one big side effect was losing any interest or enjoyment from morning coffee. Haven't had any in three months.

Sounds like solid progress! Nothing wrong with needing less caffeine, here's to dropping some unhealthy habitsπŸ’‰

I don't keep anything from my doctors. I have major health problems and opened last week's appointment by saying I hope you don't drop me as a patient but I'm using retatrutide. My endocrinologist checked the labs and said she wondered how I managed that because they looked so much better. Like many younger doctors she likes peptides and noted reta should get approval late this year or early next, after which she can prescribe it.

That's great. πŸ‘ Since starting reta I believe the calcium deposit in my shoulder has cleared. For the first time in five years I can lift my arm straight overhead. I also find that opening jars no longer hurts my hands.

It has eased the joint pain in my left thumb. My wife reports the same improvement in her fingers.
