How long was the insulin needle? Did you go in straight at 90 degrees or at an angle? Where exactly did you inject? Have you used this vial or kit before? That reaction sounds normal.
Hey everyone, I wanted to describe what happened right after my 0.5 mg shot to see if anyone else has run into the same thing. Straight away I felt sudden body warmth and my heart rate picked up. There was also quick swelling at the spot once the needle came out. The needle seemed a little dull going in since I used it both to draw the reta from the vial and to inject. A tiny drop of blood showed up when I pulled it out. The swelling eased off fast and has settled down. Has anyone else had that kind of immediate warmth or heart-rate jump? I know reta normally takes longer to reach peak.
