I'm 5'9". Started at 102kg, goal was 77kg, now at 73kg. Picked 77 because that's where I used to feel healthy and strong for years. Didn't stop there though because it didn't feel the same and I still had belly fat. Been on maintenance at 2mg/week for 8 weeks after hitting the goal and dropped another 4kg in 6 weeks. Stopped tirz two weeks ago and switched to ipa+cjc no dac, titrating up. Fasting mornings and training core daily plus weights five days a week. No hunger or rebound so far. Still a little belly fat but working on it. Have plenty of everything stocked up just in case.

SteadyAnchor31archiveJul 18

I'm 185cm aiming for 88kg walking weight or 85kg after dumping water. The math of 185 minus 100 just feels like the right number.

ClearPebble62archiveJul 18

Started at 240 with an initial goal of 180. After running the BMI numbers decided to push for 160 instead since that's the upper end of healthy while 180 would still be overweight. Really just want to see what 160 looks like because I haven't been that light since high school.

RustFenwick18archiveJul 18

Targeting 180-184. Currently 190 maybe with some water from tesa. On 12mg reta weekly and been fluctuating 180-195 for months. 6'0" male. Keeps me under 25 BMI with a 33" waist at 72" height which gives a good body roundness index. Past high of 330 left some extra skin so BMI might be off. Would love skin removal but the recovery and cost aren't feasible right now.

I can cook in grams and measure in cm fine, but I'll never give up freedom units for weight.

RustQuill56archiveJul 18

Arbitrary target around 160 but might need a DEXA to check because my frame probably won't support much below 150. Want to stay healthy, keep muscle, and not end up skinny or weak. Strong tall thick German build so 135 just won't look or feel right. Curious what a scan would say is optimal for feeling good while still eating pizza sometimes. Started at 285, gained back after baby, then 260 this round and now back to 180. As I get lower I'm still not happy with how I look so the mental side of feeling good in my skin matters too.

LevelThistle44archiveJul 18

6'2", started at 282 on 12/12/25 now at 206. First goal was 200 as a round number 25 pounds under my 2018 low. Got a DEXA in January and decided I want visible abs around 12-18% body fat. Scans point to about 182 on the low side which would be a clean 100 pound total loss so now the target is seeing abs around 180-190. Another DEXA Monday to check lean mass. No visible abs at 206 though.

SteadyMeadow73archiveJul 19

Hit 199.8 yesterday. Goal is 145 as a 5'7" woman but will probably switch to maintenance at 155-160. Wasn't always heavy, gained about 100 after hashimoto and PsA flared. Always liked myself thicker and never cared about pants size or a specific scale number. Will stop when I like how I feel and look.

PatientBeacon15archiveJul 19

160 once I add some muscle. That should give a healthy body fat percentage at 5'9".

SlowLedger31archiveJul 19

Trying to drop 20 pounds before September as a solid first big goal. Think I'll land around 123. Only reason for that number is seeing other people my height and weight look fine at that size.

RustKettle37archiveJul 19

Short middle aged female. Wasn't focused on a scale number. Main target was getting from a size 6 almost 8 down to a size 4. Being short means size 8 already puts BMI into overweight and I'm old enough that even with cardio and workouts I was only losing half a pound a week at best. Hit reta, overshot the goal, now in a size 2 while still healthy BMI. Biggest issue has been adjusting mentally to clothes. All the stretched size 6s fall off and the size 4s I bought look sloppy. Hard to wrap my head around buying sizes I haven't worn since college.

CopperSignal27archiveJul 19

I began weighing 145 kilograms while feeling very out of shape and often unwell. My initial goal was shedding 20 or 30 kilos to handle everyday tasks like walking longer distances or managing chores and errands without exhaustion. Once I reached 115 kilograms the progress continued as I added walking to build stamina and kept the same daily calorie range until the scale settled at 75 kilograms. I felt pleased with the outcome and focused mainly on avoiding regain since earlier attempts at that point had not lasted. After learning about these medications I held steady near 75 kilograms for a full year on a modest amount of one option then switched to others and continued downward to 64 kilograms across the next twelve months reaching a body weight I had not seen since my early teens. The exact number does not matter much to me provided it stays below 75 kilograms and preferably under 70 but I am more interested in balancing any unwanted effects against appetite control. What I would like is a level or levels that let me eat without constant monitoring yet prevent upward movement something that proved impossible beforehand when following my natural hunger led to steady gains of a kilogram each week even with extra calories and left me constantly ravenous.

PlainAlder11archiveJul 19

6' even male. Originally thought 175 from my early 20s but still looked a bit fat on the BF% numbers. Then aimed for 165 which was my weight after three weeks in hospital with double pneumonia four years ago. Hit that and a bit more recently. Time for maintenance so dropped the dose a little Friday. Seven month ride so far, we'll see where it goes.

30 year old male aiming for 280. Haven't been under 300 since I was 12 so it would feel surreal to hit something that's seemed impossible for 18 years.

What is your height exactly? You seem incredibly lightweight! Being that petite wouldn't appeal to me personally since it would appear emaciated given my build. How much time passed before reaching your target weight?

SteadySparrow75archiveJul 20
↳ replying to @AmberPebble43

What's your shoot for the stars goal weight?

RustLantern55archiveJul 20

Thought my goal was realistic at first but didn't fully realize I was basing it on how I looked at that weight in the past when I had more muscle and was lifting regularly. Now with a more sedentary build after kids and autoimmune issues that number isn't right anymore. Hit the original goal of 170 with 150 as a dream but now at 160 and 32 years old I look skinny fat instead of toned. Even another 10 pounds won't get the muscular curvy look I want without living at the gym which won't happen with five young kids.

AmberPebble43archiveJul 20
↳ replying to @SteadySparrow75

225 would be a dream come true. For context I'm 6'5" at 467 currently after 20 pounds down in two months without starting tirz yet.

SteadySparrow75archiveJul 20

Sounds like an evolving goal, all for the better!

RustLantern55archiveJul 20
↳ replying to @SteadySparrow75

Definitely evolving. Can't imagine myself under 140 since I haven't been under 135 since puberty. Would look like a rail and I prefer meat and curves. Never been scrawny so that's foreign. Maybe goal should be pants size instead. Just bought new jeans back to 7/8 long, haven't been under size 5 since pre puberty. Crazy stuff these peps.

Hey there, figuring you're a guy based on the vibe 😎. Spotting that 225 pound update turns it into something real. Those bigger drops at 450, 425, 400 and 280 count as solid markers along the way. Aiming next at 225 looks like the next target. Effort is definitely ahead, yet starting with the initial setup already shifts things closer to the target. Looking through accounts from others who made it on the same path feels encouraging. Things work out when the effort stays steady. Sharing more updates on how it's going would be great. 👍

I'm 5'3", lost about 50 without glp last year then another 40 on tirz since the start of the year. Haven't been this size since 7th grade. Can't count my ribs so I don't think I'm too thin. Definitely don't want to lose more.

SteadySparrow75archiveJul 20
↳ replying to @SteadySparrow75

And if it's me, I go for it. You're close to all those numbers. If doable with everything going on, make testing the lows a bit of a priority. If you hit them take pictures. You can always bounce back to a more comfortable weight but you can show the kids the pictures someday. Life should sometimes be fun like that.

PatientHarbour61archiveJul 20

Current number in my head is 170 but unsure where I'll actually land. Don't think I'll get there and that's okay. At some point I'll run out of fat to lose and hopefully that's it. Biggest challenge is recognizing when I reach that point. Wish I could use a DEXA but every tool available locally isn't accurate for me so going by eye. Reminding myself the line between a successful cut and anorexia is body dysmorphia and I probably have a lot of that.

PatientHarbour61archiveJul 20
↳ replying to @RustLantern55

With five kids you could get some nice progressive overload just switching between them. Start with the toddler press and work up to the third grader press within a year.

RustKettle57archiveJul 20

Mine is 185. Got down to 215 about six years ago and looked great. Curious what the next 30 pounds will look like. Haven't been that light for probably 12 years.

RustLantern55archiveJul 20

My mind is already dealing with a growing load of mental pressure. Might as well toss in some physical pressure too! 😄😅🤣

SharpCompass21archiveJul 20

Goal is 80kg maybe 77-75 and stay there as long as possible. Down from 97 to 82 at the moment.

LevelThistle28archiveJul 20

No set target on the scale for me. Just aiming to move out of the morbidly obese range into whatever healthy weight fits. I'm adjusting how I eat permanently, not just for now. The medication helps but only so much, the rest is on me to keep it up long term. Hope the group can support me if motivation drops.

IronTimber56archiveJul 22

I'm a 57 year old female, 5'4". Highest was 240 while pregnant with preeclampsia, then 225, and I'd drop to 190 by starving and exercising only to rebound to 200. Started out aiming for 160 to fit size 12 jeans where I used to feel good. Then decided on size 10 and reached 150, the weight I was in my twenties. I feel great now. Friends keep asking if I'm done losing and I tell them I'm at 150 so clearly not starving, which surprises them. They say I must weigh less than that. I explain we carry weight differently and ask them to just say I look great instead. It bugs me when people would rather bring you down than encourage you.

LevelTimber64archiveJul 23

It's wonderful that you let your buddies in on it. Really enjoy that.

SharpThistle89archiveJul 23

My body weight hovers near 175 these days. I suspect dropping to 170 could make certain tops fit more attractively. Yet while I'm still adding muscle, the current number actually comes across better now. So I don't have any particular target at the moment beyond keeping up a heroic vibe around my kids. 🙂

WryMarble89archiveJul 24

There's no exact figure I'm aiming for, perhaps in the vicinity of 165. Three decades have passed since that figure last appeared on the scale. Initially I aimed to drop below 200, and right now I'm at 191, which fills me with joy. The primary aim is reaching a point where I can enjoy physical movement without strain once more, particularly in nature. Outdoor pursuits like trekking and staying in the wilderness appeal to me, and I'd like to resume carrying a pack on trails.

WryMarble89archiveJul 24

It really gets to me whenever the folks offering that kind of comment happen to weigh less than I do. My first impulse is to reply that they lack any grounds for suggesting I stop dropping pounds and ought to add some themselves instead. Naturally I am only imagining it and would never actually speak up that way. Even so the thought still occurs to me now and then.

GreyThistle69archiveAug 28

Funny, the same question crossed my mind earlier today. I went looking around and here this thread already was. 🙂 I picked mine to line up with the number on my license. Not the most creative choice, huh?

SteadyCinder23archiveAug 30

For me it's 45-50 pounds. I've been stuck at 185 for ages.

NorthThistle59archiveAug 30

Nice work! I checked online for what someone my age and height should weigh and set that as my target. Now I'd like to drop another 20 pounds.

GreyFenwick49archiveAug 30

I started with 190 as my target after beginning at 250 back in May. I didn't want to go too low since I've always carried a stocky build. Now at 189 I'm thinking I could probably go a bit further and still look fine.

PatientHarbour28archiveAug 30

Solid thread. Right now I'm just shooting for ideal body weight. Once I'm within 10 pounds of that I'll start paying closer attention to the mirror and decide on the final number then. If your last update here was months ago, drop back in and let us know how it's going.

AmberBeacon57archiveAug 30

My target right now is 140 pounds, which would put my BMI at 24.8. We'll see how things look from there. I'd rather hold onto muscle than keep cutting fat. Function matters more than looks, though I wouldn't mind looking good too.

PlainAlder11archiveAug 30

I've been holding steady for nine weeks now. I was on 6mg and dropped to 4mg two weeks ago. I might go back up to 6mg because the mirror and how I feel show my love handles and belly fat are still shrinking. I've lost a little more than I planned but I feel good, so we'll see how it goes.

WryPebble78archiveSep 5

My original target was the weight I carried in the Army during my twenties, around 175. After about nine months on this I've changed my view. Now I'm aiming for under 15 percent body fat. I've seen too many people online fixate on small daily swings or slide into disordered patterns because of the scale, and that number doesn't really tell the story anyway. Appearance and health both track more with body fat percentage, so that's what I'm using as my goal.

BlueQuill24archiveSep 6

159, because it's under 160 and I can say I'm under 160. It's also a good weight for running half marathons and longer distances. It's an ambitious number for me and I haven't hit it in more than 45 years. Hoping to reach it by the Fourth of July in 2027 so it adds to the celebration.

PatientThistle47archiveSep 6

I'm aiming for 80. Last time I reached that I was around 7 to 9 percent body fat, though still a bit heavy if BMI matters. Hitting it meant I'd lost 50 kg. Plan is to get there by the end of the year. From June until now I've dropped 24 kg, so another 26 kg in four months should be doable. The reason is that from mid last year through May this year I had some kind of small health issue every week or two, so my focus is staying healthier overall, especially since I turn 50 in November.

BrightCinder50archiveSep 6

Under 200. I've lost weight before and told myself I'd never let it go over 200 again, but then life got in the way and here I am. I think it's reachable since I've done it before, though it feels harder to lose and keep off as I get older.

CopperBeacon48archiveSep 6

Started at 330 pounds 25 weeks ago. My goal is 200 pounds and I'm at 237 now, but I expect the target might shift depending on how much belly fat is left.
