Which Epitalon Dosing??

33 replies18 peopleMay 8, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

What Epitalon doses, cycles, and delivery methods have users tried and what results did they notice?

Users report trying doses from 200 mcg to 10 mg daily, usually for 10-20 days, with some repeating a few times a year and others using lower amounts more often. Sleep quality improved for several on lower-dose intranasal or morning subQ protocols, while higher doses caused headaches or fatigue in others. Timing, delivery route, and individual response varied widely, with some noting deeper sleep and others seeing no clear effects.

While looking into this there seems to be quite a range for Epitalon subQ doses. Some sources mention 100-500 mcg daily for 10-20 days while others use the higher western style of 5-10 mg daily over the same period. What dose did your research subjects use and how did it go, including any side effects? There is also a cycle of 100-500 mcg daily for 10 days then 20 off, repeated each month. Has anyone tried that approach? Did any of your research use intranasal instead, and what are the upsides or downsides of the different options?

I began with one of the higher-dose approaches and felt pretty rough, with headaches and feeling run down. After reading about lower-dose options I switched to about 1 mg per day and noticed a big improvement. Switching to intranasal made an even bigger difference. Sleep got much better and I now get 2-3 hours of deep sleep consistently. Lower dose plus intranasal has been far more tolerable and produced good results for me.

Every protocol I have come across uses 5-10 mg daily for 10-20 days but only two or three times a year. That is meant for repair and reset. The smaller amounts seem better if someone wants to run it longer or continuously. I am ordering some with my next batch and plan to run 5 mg daily for 20 days for myself and my wife.

This topic has been discussed quite a bit recently. Searching for Epitalon will turn up at least two recent detailed threads. Those include links to older threads where people shared their exact protocols, why they chose them, and what they observed with different doses and delivery methods. There is already plenty of documented experience on the forum that should help decide which approach to try.

Here is a useful starting point on a peptide reference site.

Are you using 10 mg in 10 mL saline? How many sprays per nostril?

WryHarbour70archiveMay 9

Is this the case where some of the research and dosing actually refers to Epithalamin and people mix them up? I tried epitalon once years ago and remember that confusion might explain the very different dosage discussions.

It depends on how much liquid each spray delivers. I used a certain type of nasal bottle that gives 0.1 mL per pump. You can mix it so that one spray equals 1 mg and two sprays equal 2 mg if the bottle matches that output. You can adjust between those amounts and also between 10-20 day lengths.

Yes, that peptide reference site is one of my favorite resources.

I am on 5 mg per day for 20 days and am five days in. Pinning in the evening the first two days hurt my sleep, so I switched to morning and now sleep well. Not longer sleep, but deeper and better quality. As for why I am not using the mcg range, the dosing is still debated and I am still fine on 5 mg daily.

SteadyQuill55archiveMay 9

I do 1 mg a day for 20 days every three months. I am mainly looking for help with insomnia and this has been the answer for me.

SlowCinder73archiveMay 9

You can also add the amidate version to the research options as a stronger form.

How do you use DSIP, on an as-needed basis? I have some on hand and Epithalon arriving next week. Do you use nasal for it?

QuietSignal61archiveMay 11

Do you cycle it? What else do you use and is it intranasal or subQ?

ClearBeacon24archiveMay 11
↳ replying to @QuietSignal61

SubQ and no cycling. I have been doing it for over a year now.

CopperBeacon88archiveMay 11

I tried 10 mg per day for 10 days. It was a lot to inject every evening and I had to go slowly to avoid lumps. No side effects though. I could not really tell if anything happened. I am going to order a larger kit and try again in six months to see if results show up then.

Interesting. I tried 1 mg intranasal and felt awful with a stiff neck, headache, and leg pain similar to sciatica. Dropping to 200 mcg still felt bad so I stopped. I would like to test subQ but I am hesitant to try again after that.

PatientFenwick39archiveMay 12

There is a short video explaining Epithalon. It is a decent overview. I also prefer starting with the minimal effective dose and can always increase later.

NorthMeadow96archiveMay 13

There is a protocol from a doctor known for creating regimens with various compounds. I think the Epitalon one is listed under a peptides subreddit. Look for that doctor.

Just saw this. I never tried DSIP and stopped searching once Epitalon worked for me. I only use subQ for anything.

QuietSignal61archiveMay 13
↳ replying to @SteadyQuill55

What time do you dose the epithalon? Does it help when you are off cycle or only while on it?

WryThistle17archiveMay 14
↳ replying to @QuietSignal61

My research subject will run Epitalon and Pinealon for 20 days after finishing a mitochondrial reset cycle that includes SS-31, NAD+ (using oral precursors instead of subQ), and MOTS-c. These are stacked with Reta and Cagri as needed. The subject is a 60-year-old woman researching weight loss, better mitochondrial function, cellular energy, and anti-aging.

PatientTimber12archiveMay 14

I am on my first cycle using 200 mcg daily in the mornings. Sleep quality has improved a lot. I wake up feeling rested and ready for the day. For the next cycle in four months I plan to increase to 500 mcg.

QuietSignal61archiveMay 14
↳ replying to @WryThistle17

If you are using oral precursors make sure to take TMG or methyl B to support methylation.

QuietSignal61archiveMay 14
↳ replying to @PatientTimber12

What led you to choose morning instead of night?

PatientTimber12archiveMay 14
↳ replying to @QuietSignal61

I have been thinking about switching to nights. I started with mornings because that is what the peptide reference site recommends, but I get somewhat tired afterward. Some people here and elsewhere say night dosing made their sleep worse than morning dosing, so it is unclear which is better.

I went ahead and pushed 10 mg a day for 10 days. All of this seems like trial and error. I did not notice much from that cycle other than the hassle of pushing 1 mL at once in a single injection.

PatientFenwick39archiveMay 14
↳ replying to @CopperBeacon88

That outcome is expected. Reading the studies shows most effects would not be immediately noticeable. The main possible quick change is increased melatonin production leading to better sleep and a steadier circadian rhythm. If sleep habits are already good the difference may not stand out, and if the rhythm is disrupted by other factors the benefits could be hidden.

CopperBeacon88archiveMay 15
↳ replying to @PatientFenwick39

So it probably just worked quietly in the background.

ClearQuill84archiveMay 16

There is a lot of confusion around the right dose so I had to pick one. Today was the first injection of this batch. I ordered a 10 mg kit that arrived today, mixed it with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water, and pinned 10 units. My plan is 500 mcg daily for 20 days. I will see how it goes. If I start to think the dose is too low I still have plenty left to try a different amount.

ClearAnchor21archiveMay 17
↳ replying to @ClearQuill84

I am going to try the same approach when my kit arrives. Start low and adjust if needed. You can always add more but cannot take it back out.

ClearQuill84archiveMay 17
↳ replying to @ClearAnchor21

That seems like common sense. On the other hand, people following the low-dose approach say it works for them.
