Six Month Weight Loss Progress with Sema and Reta

32 replies25 peopleNov 6, 2025☆ Follow
Summary

What results come from slowly titrating a semaglutide and retatrutide stack over six months for weight loss?

The original poster lost 45 pounds in the first six months from a starting point above 334 lbs down to 289 lbs, later updating the total to 55 pounds lost. Dosing began at 0.25 mg sema and moved gradually to 2 mg sema plus 5 mg reta weekly while keeping side effects mild. Sema produced minor digestive cramping and reta produced skin sensitivity resembling sunburn. Community members offered encouragement and noted similar slow approaches or plans to try the same combination.

It has been six months since the first 0.25 mg dose. Starting weight was at least 334 lbs though the exact number was avoided at the time. The current weight is 289 lbs so roughly 45 pounds have come off. That is about a quarter of the total goal. The pace is slower than some because the dose was increased more gradually. The schedule went like this: May at 0.25 mg weekly, June at 0.5 mg, July switched to 0.5 mg of the other compound, August at 1 mg, September at 1 mg of each, October at 1.5 mg and 2 mg, and November planned at 1.5 mg and 3 mg with a possible sema increase to 2 mg. Overall the feeling is quite good and side effects have stayed very light.

Feeling good is the main thing and everything else follows from there. Thanks for posting the update and the details.

LevelThistle83archiveNov 6, 2025

That is a big step. Well done on the effort.

KeenWillow56archiveNov 6, 2025

Congratulations. I am looking forward to the point where I feel at ease in my own skin again.

Fantastic. Congratulations and thanks for including the dosing history. It helped me think about making a change myself. A woman of a certain age who is also tired of most things.

Really happy for you.

That is quite an accomplishment. Respect for the careful way the doses were raised. More people should take the same approach.

AmberMarble84archiveNov 7, 2025

Wow, amazing progress. Keep up the good work.

It was not really discipline. The goal was simply to avoid getting sick. The real test is holding back from ordering extra research compounds whenever something new looks interesting. That urge is the hardest part to resist.

KeenLantern39archiveNov 7, 2025

Keeping records of doses and results is one of the more helpful things anyone can add here. Thanks for doing it.

Wow. Love this for you. Keep going and post another update in six months.

ClearWillow59archiveNov 15, 2025

Congratulations on the solid work. We started around the same time and both stayed low for months before raising the dose recently. Almost 30 pounds down so far and it is nice to fit into clothes from the closet again.

RustHarbour17archiveNov 20, 2025

This is great to hear. Congratulations and continued success.

CopperFenwick68archiveNov 29, 2025

Fantastic progress. Wishing continued success. Once a sufficient supply is on hand it is best to stop adding more. The compounds will still be available later when needed and cash will be useful for new clothes.

PlainKettle27archiveNov 29, 2025

Great progress. Thanks for sharing the experience so far.

For anyone interested the sema dose was raised to 2 mg and the reta dose was just raised to 5 mg. The sema change feels fine so far. The effect of the higher reta amount will be checked over the next few days.

WarmHarbour28archiveDec 11, 2025

This is such good news. It brings a tear to the eye thinking how it might have helped a loved one. Keep looking forward with a positive attitude.

SharpBeacon98archiveDec 11, 2025

Congratulations. How exciting.

What are the biggest changes noticed when the sema to reta ratio was adjusted? It may still be early for the latest increase.

ClearHarbour45archiveDec 12, 2025
↳ replying to @WarmQuill37

That is the current combination here too though the plan is to move to 8 mg reta soon and possibly drop sema back to 1.5 mg.

WarmQuill37archiveDec 12, 2025
↳ replying to @SlowLedger42

The ratio itself does not seem to change results much. Each compound brings its own side effects though. Sema causes minor cramping while food is digesting that feels like a drawn-out uncomfortable feeling. Reta causes skin discomfort similar to a mild sunburn.

That is the way. As you know the doses cannot be pushed too high because the pancreas will not tolerate it.

RustWillow52archiveDec 14, 2025

That is the approach being taken here as well. The original plan was to use only one compound for a specific purpose but now the fridge holds quite a few others. Congratulations on the journey.

GreyMeadow99archiveDec 27, 2025

Thanks for sharing. Considering adding sema to reta because appetite control is still not complete at 5 mg of reta alone. The details here are giving useful perspective.

WarmQuill37archiveDec 27, 2025
↳ replying to @GreyMeadow99

Glad the story is helping others. The sema dose went to 2 mg for November and reta went to 5 mg in December. No further changes are planned for January because the weight loss rate is acceptable. Sema side effects have faded but the skin burning from reta is near the limit of what feels tolerable. Hopefully that improves. Total loss is now 55 pounds.

Keep going. Currently running 8 mg reta and 1.5 mg sema.

AmberSignal20archiveJan 1

Great thread and congrats. The same combination was reached after some thought. A small amount of sema was added for extra appetite control while still using the other compound for its additional effects and keeping the start gentle. The sema amount can be adjusted depending on diet changes. Just beginning so not much personal data yet but the details shared are appreciated.

PatientBeacon95archiveJan 1

Congratulations. Slow is fine because it all adds up. Losing four pounds a month still shows clear results after eleven months.

LevelBramble55archiveApr 11

Amazing and insightful thread. Thanks for sharing so others can learn. Because of this experience the plan is to try stacking current 2.4 mg with 0.5 mg of the other compound. How are the injections scheduled? Are the days spread out, are the solutions mixed in one syringe, or are both taken at the same time?

LevelTimber64archiveApr 11
↳ replying to @LevelBramble55

Do not combine those types of compounds in the same vial or injection. The days are offset by three between the two.
