This might be my silly poll of the week. When mixing Tirz or Reta, do you lean toward using less BAC water or more BAC water? Most of all, what drives that choice? Tell me which peptide you're using, whether you go low or high on the water, and the main reason such as burning, shot size, dosing ease, mixing smoothness, or micro-dose precision. Everyone seems to have their own reasoning and I think I'm overthinking it.

Not a dumb question at all. Everyone handles it differently and has their own logic. My way is to get Tirz vials that last me a month, which means four shots. If I can make a vial stretch that long, adding 2 ml of Bac gives me four shots at 50 units each. That lands on an easy spot on the syringe and is simple to measure without mistakes.

That sounds like a very practical way to do it. Just wondering, what dose are you running that ends up being 50 units per injection?

The kit I have tested at 45 mg. With 2 ml of Bac that works out to four shots of 11.25 mg each at the 50-unit mark.

It probably comes down to what feels comfortable for each person. Some are fine with 100 units while others prefer to keep it around 20 units.

I just started Reta again and I'm moving up to 4 mg this week. My draw will be 0.2 ml. As the dose goes up I'll probably stay between 0.2 and 0.25 ml because I like the 0.3 ml syringes since the markings are easy to read.

It's supposed to last 28 days once mixed. That means five shots on day 29. Adding 1.5 ml of Bac gives five shots at 30 units each.

I'm team less. Mainly because the idea of pushing larger amounts just bothers me for some reason. So I put 1 ml of BAC water into my 10 mg Reta vial and then inject 10 units, which feels like a nice small amount.

I know plenty of people who keep using it well past that 28-day mark, myself included. It doesn't spoil, it just loses a little potency. So you bump the dose up 5 to 10 percent, with 10 being the high end.

Same here, never had burning. I change the bac water amount depending on my dose and the vial strength. I like to inject less, and right now my Tz mix needs 0.4 ml per dose. I don't enjoy that because I'm needlephobic and don't want to push much through the syringe.

That 5 to 10 percent adjustment is a useful tip, I'll remember it. I'll put myself in the same group. I do notice a bit more burning when it's less diluted.

Interesting to hear the different approaches. Right now I'm taking 6 mg Reta from an R24 vial so I add 2.4 ml BAC. That gives four shots at 6 mg each. I have various syringe sizes. For a 60 mg Reta vial I'd add 3 ml BAC to get ten doses at 30 units to hit the 6 mg target.

I'm more of a 10-unit person. I try to mix so my dose comes out to 10 units or 20 units. It keeps things less confusing.

I had an R15 vial and first used 1 ml BAC for 10-unit draws. On the next vial I added 3 ml BAC for 30-unit draws. It's much easier to get close to the right amount with the larger unit marks. Being off a little on a 10-unit draw made a bigger difference.

Injecting bigger amounts always makes me uncomfortable. It feels odd to push in a whole milliliter that's mostly liquid. I used to prefer higher volumes thinking it would help with precise measurements. But now I see that small errors like around ten percent probably aren't a big deal. There's already variation from extra liquid in the vials. So these days I lean toward smaller amounts instead.

I pick whatever BAC amount makes the dose land on a 0 or a 5. I don't want to be between the tick marks on the insulin syringe. I still prefer a smaller amount overall because for some reason it's easier for my brain to handle injecting smaller unit numbers.

For Reta I'm probably team less water. I don't like to pin more than 40-50 units. Depending on my dose I'll adjust the water to keep it in that range.

I mix GLP-1s at 22 mg per ml because I started with compounded product on a titration schedule of 2.2 mg which was 10 units, then 4.4 mg which was 20 units, and so on, so that's what I'm used to. The only exception is Survo, which I stack in smaller doses and mix so each dose is 20 units. For KLOW I mix at 77 mg over 12 ml. My dose is 34 units because that's what avoids a painful bruise 12 hours later. For Epitalon I like 10 mg per ml so 1 mg is 10 units.

I go with smaller batches so recon happens less frequently. With tirz I mix it so each unit holds 0.5 mg, helping figure out the varying amounts my partner and I use. I load 120 mg into the pen, dosing at 20 units. For the KLOW blend I use 5 units delivering 2 mg GHK-Cu plus 0.4 mg of the rest. I tend to overlook the 28-day use-by period just like others in the group. Recall there being an extensive discussion on the topic some time ago.

I usually dilute so a dose is around 0.1 ml using 0.3 ml syringes. For Tirz I keep the same dilution as the legitimate version so it's easy to figure doses, 60 mg in 2.4 ml. I'm dosing every other day so it's still a small 0.18 ml draw for 4.5 mg. Using smaller volumes lets me use one syringe for two peptides. The only one that went cloudy was mots c mixed with hgh, otherwise it works fine and halves the number of syringes needed.

Usually I'm team less. I like my shots to be between 10 and 25 units so I adjust the BAC water to match that preference. It's hard to see those tiny hash marks on the syringes, especially below 10 units where they all start to blur together.

For GLP-1s I've always thought new users should stay close to the big pharma dosing volumes around 0.5 to 0.6 ml until they get comfortable doing the math without a calculator. Especially at the start, dosing accuracy can affect side effects, and a more dilute solution makes measuring more accurate and may slow tissue absorption which could reduce sides. Personally I aim for 0.2 to 0.3 ml. Lower fluid volume can lead to more injection site reactions for some people, and certain peptides need more diluent to dissolve properly.
