Why do bruises from peptide injections last over two weeks and how can they be avoided?

The original poster noticed bruises appearing two weeks after injections, one small from MT2 and one large from Reta, after rotating sites. Not sure if this is the right place to ask. Bruises showed up two weeks ago on both sides from the injections done the week before. Small one on the MT2 side and a bigger one on the Reta side. That was the week site rotation started. Since switching again these past two weeks nothing new has appeared. Not positive if the larger bruise spot got used for MT2, and hoping it is not a pigment change. Anyone had them stick around this long?

Hit a small vessel on my first pin two weeks back and still have a fairly large bruise there. Not sure if it showed right away or took a couple days. Was there no blood when you did the pins where the bruises are now?

Had some before but never this big. Something seems off. Is it sore or warm? If yes then check with a doctor. Need to avoid going too deep. A needle can nick a capillary and leave a drop of blood but not a bruise this size. Can't tell the body location from here. Was the spot near the belly button?

Larger amounts over 30 units tend to cause bruising for me so I keep shots at 20 or under. As the picture shows I bruise pretty easily.

Using the 5/16 inch 8 mm needles? They actually lead to fewer reactions than the 6 mm ones. Also stick to 25 units or less and try to skip any visible capillaries at the spot.

For me it came down to not angling the needle enough. Once I started holding it like a pencil and keeping that angle the bruising stopped. Has to do with how many skin layers get crossed at an angle versus straight in. Ice when you first see it then hot showers later to help fade the color.

Turned out to be repeated use of the same area. This appeared after raising the Reta dose. The other side has a smaller matching mark from the smaller MT2 and short cagri use so it does not seem seriously off. No blood showed on the injections.

Lighting makes it look worse than it really is. No pain or heat and it is totally flat. The spot is near the belly button.

Subcutaneous shots should stay about two inches away from the navel. Nursing sites have the full instructions. There are detailed videos and guides covering current methods and safety steps.

Letting the peptides reach room temperature before injecting has cut down on bruising for me. I also apply an ice pack to the site right after for about a minute.
