Oxytocin Experiences and Effects

6 replies6 peopleMay 28, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

What positive effects or dosages have people experienced with oxytocin?

Most users report only subtle or hard-to-pinpoint effects such as facial flushing shortly after dosing, brief increases in talkativeness, or minor heart rate changes. Results are often difficult to separate from other medications like tirzepatide, and several people notice nothing at all beyond the cost. Doses discussed range from 200 mcg intranasal to 30 IU subcutaneous three times daily and 500 mcg injections.

Tried this over the past few evenings and planning to again tonight. The main thing I notice right away is a strong flushing, like my face getting hot for a few minutes. Beyond that it's tough to pin down any clear effects, though occasionally something subtle shows up. Has anyone gotten positive results, and at what dose?

Only used it one time. Took around 200mcg intranasally and ended up talking nonstop to my friends in a cheerful way.

Used roughly 30iu subcutaneously three times daily for several months, thinking it might help with appetite control based on some evidence. Hard to judge any impact though because I'm also taking tirz15mg/reta5mg/cagri0.5mg. It does seem to raise heart rate temporarily.

Same here, on Tirz so appetite is already well controlled. Just did another Oxy injection and got that flushing again, plus some vague feeling I can't describe well. Not bad but not particularly good either. Used 500mcg, unsure of the iu equivalent. My Tirz is at 1.5 with almost no hunger, couldn't handle 2.5.

Thinking about trying oxytocin subcutaneously. Planning to begin at about 80mcg to reduce nighttime cortisol. Lower cortisol might lead to less visceral fat and thus lower blood pressure, and reduced cortisol itself could help with blood pressure too. Anyone here used it subq, or only nasal?

Reading through these, I'm still unsure whether it has any real effects.

Tried the nasal version from a compounding pharmacy. Didn't notice any effects, just spent money for nothing.
