Thanks a lot. I will check it tomorrow.

IronHarbour69archiveJan 17

Interesting stuff, I am going to watch some videos on it.

CopperAlder51archiveJan 17

I stumbled upon a write-up that includes references to clinical studies conducted in Russia about the acetylated Selank variant. People who want to can check out that research further. The acetylated forms of both compounds have official approval for prescription use within Russia. The acetylated Selank represents a modified version where an acetyl group attaches to the original seven-peptide Selank, and that original comes from a lab-created copy of tuftsin, a four-peptide natural substance with the amino acids threonine, lysine, proline, and arginine. From everything I've read so far it seems the acetylated versions for both this and the other one deliver identical effects on the brain as the regular ones yet with better absorption and longer duration in the system, meaning one can use a bit less to achieve similar results. Well, looks like I have to place yet another purchase for the acetylated Selank.

Yeah estrogen swings can really disrupt things around menopause. I always figured I would hit 50 and get a big estrogen boost but several breast cancers showed up in close family so that option is off the table. The last few days have been even better after work. My job is busy and stressful with lots of patient interactions and I usually come home exhausted and flat. But the Semax and Selank really help with that.

SlowLantern45archiveJan 17

I came here today looking for exactly this topic. I have been on standard Semax for a couple months. Nasal spray did nothing for me at first. I switched to injections starting at 200 mcg and went up to 2 mg and now my focus is solid. I know that sounds high but lower amounts do nothing. I was thinking about trying the NA version for better results and now I am also considering adding Selank. I do not have anxiety issues and I sleep fine most nights. My problem is purely focus. Would Selank still help? If yes should it be taken at night or both together in the morning?

I am sorry to hear about the cancers in the family. Glad you are looking after yourself. You should be getting paid for how well you promote this. The ADHD symptoms have been shifting since I stopped bupropion with my doctor’s okay, in a way that makes sense. Maybe February I will give it a try.

AmberMarble84archiveJan 17

Go for it, try the nasal and let us know how it works out.

Did you get the Semax already mixed for nasal use? Do you know the strength? I mixed mine myself so two sprays give 1 mg. I use Semax nasal in the mornings right before work with my coffee and that sets me up for the day. I like it enough that I have the NA version on the way. From what I read Selank can be used any time for anxiety and in the morning for its mental clarity benefits.

I have been reading the risk is lower than people used to think. A new model shows that hormone replacement taken at 50 for up to five years only modestly raises breast cancer odds even with strong family history.

WrySparrow63archiveJan 17

Now I want some too. Maybe it will help me sleep since my anxiety makes it hard to unwind.

I tried it under the skin and got almost no effect but after seeing this post I ordered the nasal spray vials and I am starting now. I will update in a week.

AmberMarble84archiveJan 18
↳ replying to @CopperAlder51

No the vial is 10 mg mixed with 10 ml saline and the nasal spray should deliver about 0.1 mg per spray though it is probably not very precise. You are right about Selank but it also lowers my stress on busy work days.

AmberMarble84archiveJan 18
↳ replying to @NorthMarble60

The shot under the skin felt like injecting saline while the nasal version actually works.

AmberMarble84archiveJan 18
↳ replying to @IronHarbour69

Yes thank you I know but I do not want to take any chance. I do not need it now and I am only perimenopausal but if full menopause symptoms hit I will think about it. Even a modest increase is still an increase. My best friend just finished treatment for breast cancer and it was awful plus she now has long term chemo side effects. It scares me.

AmberMarble84archiveJan 18

How long does everyone keep the nasal spray? It is just saline not bac water and it sits out during the day not in the fridge.

PlainCompass54archiveJan 18
↳ replying to @AmberMarble84

I am not sure how long the spray stays good but you can use a small insulin case with ice packs to keep it cool while you are out so it lasts longer.

CopperSignal68archiveJan 18
↳ replying to @AmberMarble84

I have not looked into this myself and I have not found the original source so take it for what it is worth. From notes I made when first researching Selank several forums pointed to Russian studies showing stability data for the powder and reconstituted forms. The suggestions for extending shelf life were things like adding a tiny bit of ascorbic acid or using lower concentration. Personally I am looking at a 1.2 mg dose with two sprays per nostril three times a day. With a standard bottle that lasts about eight days. I still wonder how much agitation affects stability maybe worth testing.

KeenPebble65archiveJan 18

I have been mixing with BAC saline from the Hospira brand. It stings a little in the nose but I can handle it. I also keep it in the fridge.

Sorry to hear about the childhood trauma. I just ordered Selank and Semax. I have anxiety and what feels like ADHD type behaviors so I am going to try them and see how it goes. Thanks for sharing your story.

CopperSignal68archiveJan 18
↳ replying to @SharpKettle11

Thanks the trauma part is long behind me. It was just a nonstop high stress home and I assumed every family was that way. I did not realize it had set my fight or flight system on high alert leading to anxiety. I am only now understanding how eighteen years of that changed things. The surprising part is how fast the Selank research quieted that background noise. I was going to start testing Semax on top of it but the package has been sitting in a distribution center for five days. Typical shipping issues.

AmberMarble84archiveJan 18
↳ replying to @CopperSignal68

I might be slow but what is BAK? So I could raise the dose in week two and three but I think I will just discard it after week three since there is no bac water and my nose is full of bacteria that could contaminate it.

CopperAlder51archiveJan 18
↳ replying to @AmberMarble84

I have kept mine for nearly thirty days refrigerated except when using it. After two weeks I started checking for particles or cloudiness and have not seen any yet. It is still clear even with plain saline. I need a couple more days from this bottle. After thirty days this week I will toss whatever is left and clean the bottle for next time. I am taking at least thirty days off to let receptors clear. I may also add a little store bought nasal spray next round.

AmberMarble84archiveJan 18
↳ replying to @CopperAlder51

My bottles are single use plastic and you cannot see through them so there is no way to check if mucus got inside.

CopperAlder51archiveJan 18
↳ replying to @AmberMarble84

Ah. I use amber Snoot bottles. They have a fairly strong spray so I do not think anything has entered. I wipe the tip after each use.

AmberMarble84archiveJan 18

I do not think so either but you cannot remove germs once they are in and I do not believe they can crawl into the bottle.

CopperAlder51archiveJan 18
↳ replying to @AmberMarble84

Yeah I agree after looking into everything thoroughly there's no point in stressing over it now. I'm excited for the next round using the adjusted version. From what I saw the duration extends to eight or ten hours rather than just a couple so I'm hoping my rest won't be disturbed.

SlowLantern45archiveJan 19

That's the one I tried. I couldn't handle more than two sprays because it stung quite a bit.

CopperAlder51archiveJan 19
↳ replying to @SlowLantern45

Yeah the BAC saline could be what caused the irritation. 200 mcg is a pretty small amount so I'm not surprised you didn't notice much.

GreenCinder32archiveJan 19

I ordered the NA-Selank nasal spray yesterday and might try the adamax version too. Which one worked better for morning versus evening use?

CopperSignal68archiveJan 19
↳ replying to @GreenCinder32

Semax goes in the morning for the boost. Selank comes an hour or so after that and then as needed. During the initial phase I'm using two sprays per nostril which is 400 mcg three times a day. After that I'll drop to 300-600 mcg total daily for a month and check how it goes.

CopperAlder51archiveJan 19
↳ replying to @GreenCinder32

Everything I've read about Adamax points to maximum potency compared with NA Semax Amidate. Start low and slow at 200 mcg and watch for the warning signs about when to stop. It's definitely a morning dose. Some people over 50 say the Amidate version is less vaso-restrictive and lowers blood pressure while others report it raises it a lot. I'm stopping at NA Semax even though Adamax sounds interesting because I'm already on BP meds.

NorthMeadow96archiveJan 20
↳ replying to @CopperSignal68

If your dose is 0.1 ml per nostril or 0.2 ml total have you worked out what that comes to per day?

CopperSignal68archiveJan 20
↳ replying to @NorthMeadow96

10 mg diluted with 10 ml of saline gives 1 mg per ml. The snoot bottle puts out roughly 0.1 ml per spray so that's about 100 mcg per spray. The protocol I'm following calls for 1.2 mg per day during the loading phase so that means two sprays per nostril three times a day.

NorthMeadow96archiveJan 20
↳ replying to @CopperSignal68

Thanks. Can you walk me through the reconstitution step by step? I have a 10 mg vial of Selank. Should I use 3 ml sterile water draw it into the snoot bottle then add another 7 ml to reach 10 ml total with the 10 mg Selank? The bottle would then hold about 50 doses at 0.1 ml per nostril. Does that sound right?

NorthMeadow96archiveJan 22
↳ replying to @NorthMeadow96

Thanks for the details. I found a video that covers the whole process and now I have all the supplies ready.

IronThistle42archiveJan 22
↳ replying to @NorthMeadow96

I just watched that video too. It was straightforward and really helpful.

CopperAlder51archiveJan 22

My NA Selank arrived today. I'm thinking of reconstituting it for a 300 mcg starting dose and wondering what others have noticed. The protocols suggest a one to two week cycle with a one week break afterward. NA-Acetyl Selank Amidate also called Adalank is still experimental but that's why I'm trying it.

CopperSignal68archiveJan 22
↳ replying to @CopperAlder51

I'm away on a trip and trying to stretch what I have left. A shipment was delayed more than a week so I had to cut back to 200 mcg a day and it's still holding up okay. I'll be glad to get home and go back to the full dose for the cycle.

IronThistle42archiveJan 23
↳ replying to @CopperAlder51

I've been dosing earlier in the day and haven't noticed much from NA Semax. Something feels different but I can't describe it and it doesn't seem useful so far. NA Selank feels noticeably stronger than the Semax but I'm still not finding a practical use for the effect. It sort of evens out mental openness I guess. Maybe I'm not anxious or ADHD enough to benefit or maybe I'm already more zen than I think. I'm not sure there's a strong reason to keep going.

AmberMarble84archiveJan 23
↳ replying to @CopperAlder51

I'm also ordering the NA version and looking forward to comparing it.

CopperSignal68archiveJan 23
↳ replying to @IronThistle42

That matches what I've seen from other reports. It either makes a big difference or feels like nothing. For people who already have a strong anxiety response it seems to help gate that reaction. If anxiety wasn't an issue before then it probably won't do much.

SharpWillow20archiveJan 23
↳ replying to @CopperAlder51

I started Selank nasal earlier today. I accidentally added 1 ml of BAC first then added 9 ml of saline afterward. My sinuses feel dried out from the BAC so lesson learned. I chose Selank after reading about it and this thread gave me hope it might help with depression anxiety and negative thoughts from recurring flashbacks tied to childhood trauma. A couple hours after the first use I felt more mellow and ended up taking a nap which I needed because of insomnia. I'm hoping for good results.

CopperAlder51archiveJan 23
↳ replying to @IronThistle42

Everyone reacts differently. I'm wondering if the 20-day Epitalon cycle I did earlier helped prepare me for these effects or if my brain was just low on BDNF and soaking it up. Epitalon is described as tuning the engine and Semax as giving it gas. I made the 300 mcg Adalank spray yesterday and tried it. It feels distinct from Semax more subtle but still pleasant. I'll keep both around.

BrightSignal76archiveJan 23

Neither of those skin injections produced any results for me whatsoever. Next time I could go with the nose spray instead because it looks like the one method that actually works for more folks.

PlainCompass54archiveJan 23
↳ replying to @IronThistle42

I also had an odd feeling I couldn't describe and didn't really like when I tried regular use of Semax and Selank. Semax is known to help you feel clearer and more awake after poor sleep without acting like a stimulant. It makes me feel human instead of like a zombie when I use it that way.

CopperAlder51archiveJan 23

It's different but I kind of like it. I can feel the mood lift from the Adalank and that's welcome anytime. After all these Russian peptides I'm craving some borscht and cabbage rolls so that might be it for a while. Cerebrolysin is on the way too.

Tried two without noticing any effect so I might go for four instead.
