Reta Stall

Summary

Why am I stalled on weight loss after switching from semaglutide to retatrutide and what dosing adjustments help?

Users report that switching from semaglutide or tirzepatide often requires higher retatrutide doses for continued loss, with 4 mg frequently insufficient and steady results more common around 6-8 mg. Some suggest adding low-dose cagrilintide or splitting retatrutide doses to manage hunger and side effects while titrating. Maintaining weight may indicate body recomposition especially on TRT, though initial semaglutide losses were typically faster. Opinions differ on how aggressively to increase versus staying conservative.

Anyone else switched from semaglutide to reta? How did that go? I switched eight weeks ago, started at 2 mg and now at 4 mg, but I have not lost anything on reta while I was losing steadily on semaglutide. I switched hoping for the muscle benefits but I am thinking about going back if the losses do not start.

I found that working in a small amount of CAGRI transformed my results completely. I move the dose up at an extremely gradual rate. Half a year later I remain between 0.5 and 1 mg, and only when the noise level rises do I sometimes increase by another half milligram.

Glad to hear the scale isn't moving much these days. That situation often points toward building muscle while shedding fat instead. The hormone therapy I'm on tends to boost hunger levels, yet it also supports that muscle fat exchange. Early progress on the scale tends to happen quicker anyway. Since I still have some of the other medication left, combining them makes sense to me. Retatrutide is my preference, so I'm planning to raise my amount gradually but a bit more boldly this time around. Dividing the injections reduces any unwanted reactions during the increase phase.

When folks switch over after long use of those other two options, they often mention requiring bigger amounts of this one to drop weight. That lower starting point may not cut it. People vary a lot, this compound was my first try with the class and I saw no consistent drop until hitting the next step up.

Sure, three milligrams on two different days per week might handle returning appetite in addition to other reactions. If nothing changes after seven or fourteen days, shifting to alternate day use the week after by spreading eight milligrams across those days could be next. The line about keeping going until satisfied pops up, followed by a chuckle. Two milligrams on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday works as one option. Skipping any of them remains possible whenever the results suggest it.

I'm part of the slow and low approach group myself, though. Different people react in various ways, from those who respond strongly to those who barely do, all present on this site. Perhaps a larger amount ends up being necessary for me down the line, yet beginning smaller and then going up carries much lower danger. Something like a month at the smaller level followed by another at double? That point is approaching now.
