A 1000-1200 calorie deficit worked at first but progress stopped early in month three. Raising intake to leave only a 500-600 calorie gap let the scale keep moving, though more slowly. Keeping protein high while staying in a moderate deficit seems key, and very large deficits appear to make the body hold onto stores more tightly.
Started around 120 kg last year and dropped to 100 kg on tirzepatide after six months. The scale has not moved in the last couple of months even though daily intake stayed in the 2000-2500 range with 150-200 g of protein, the same numbers that produced the earlier loss. An online calculator put BMR near 3300 because of five strength sessions, two 5 k runs, and 10 k steps daily. The idea that any deficit should produce loss makes me wonder if eating more might actually restart progress.
