I happened to be drinking diet coke when this story appeared. It was a bezoar, something that hits maybe four people out of a thousand. These are solid clumps that get stuck in the gut, often in the stomach, and they can come from hair, plant fibers, pills that do not dissolve, or milk proteins in babies.
So is this like taking medicine ahead of time? Diet Coke should run ads for it already, something like 'Protect your gut with Diet Coke!'

Was not this story from last year? A woman had pain and vomiting and soda fixed the mass in her stomach. She had other health issues, so the slowed digestion from semaglutide was probably only part of what happened.
