Just started, first week at 5 units which is 0.5 mg.

PatientMarble14archiveJun 19

This is where I'm at right now and hoping to hold at 1.5 mg for a couple more weeks. Down 4.1 kg so far. Week 1 was 1 mg, week 2 1 mg, week 3 1.5 mg, week 4 1.5 mg.

GreyBramble56archiveJun 20

Began at 0.8 mg every five days for three weeks, then moved to 1.0, 1.3, 1.5 and now at 2.0 after three months. It's not working as well anymore. Next step is 2.5. Not really chasing weight loss, just trying to stop craving sweets and chips like I did at the start.

PlainAlder11archiveJun 20

Those doses seem really low to me, and I wonder what jumping from 1 to 1.3 to 1.5 actually changes. You also get used to how reta feels over time.

With the big differences in how much is actually in the vials versus what they say, those tiny 0.2 or 0.3 mg increases don't really mean anything.

PlainBeacon58archiveJun 20

Started at 215 lb, now 198.2 lb after 38 days. Dosing 1 mg every three days which is about 2.33 mg weekly through week 5. First two weeks had bad headaches and fatigue but electrolytes and more sleep helped. Dropped 10 lb in week 2, then stalled in week 4 until I added intentional workouts and the sides went away. By week 5 the effects are fading, cravings return after a day and a half instead of three. Planning to go up soon.

I get that and I account for it when mixing. Just wondering about the thinking behind it, not trying to be difficult.

We're all just testing this out anyway, and most of these experiments look silly later.

PlainAlder11archiveJun 21
↳ replying to @KeenCompass55

Fair enough. I never thought of it as experimenting, I just followed the usual steps to lose weight.

ClearQuill84archiveJun 21

Just took 4 mg today. Started at 1 mg and added 1 mg every three weeks. Curious if 4 mg really is the sweet spot or just something people say.

Never went past 2 mg and with training and clean eating I got leaner than ever at 56. Been lifting for 40 years and always ate clean.

BrightCompass30archiveJun 21

Went from 3.9 mg to 4 mg and suddenly had abs right after the shot.

ClearQuill84archiveJun 21
↳ replying to @BrightCompass30

That's exactly the kind of result I'm hoping for.

The real magic is paying for 4 mg the rest of your life while I only pay for 2.

PatientMarble32archiveJun 21

Been on it almost two years, at 10-12 mg for the last 15 months.

PlainAlder11archiveJun 21

Started the 9 mg dose this morning after reconstituting a couple vials. Catching up on Friday shots after missing one last week due to travel. Next one will be six days later then back to the usual schedule. My wife didn't quite follow but that's normal. Also got tracking on the new larger vials.

QuietAnchor73archiveJun 21
↳ replying to @PlainAlder11

Saw those new vials going around, should be interesting for people buying them. Probably going to be a lot of reta sitting around going bad in the next few months.

PlainAlder11archiveJun 21
↳ replying to @QuietAnchor73

Yeah those larger vials will probably go bad fast. I'm only doing one at a time now. Reconstituting into a bigger vial with extra bac water so the 9 mg doses last eight weeks for two people. Heard they're overfilled so waiting on test results before using.

Any sides after jumping straight to an 8 mg dose?

RustPebble66archiveJun 22

Male, 38, 76 kg, around 20% body fat, training fasted weights five days a week. No prior GLP-1 experience. Week 1 at 0.5 mg, could barely eat after the first shot, full after two bites for three days then eased up. Week 2 at 0.75 mg but probably only got 0.4 mg due to syringe dead space, same appetite effect plus mild fatigue and light GI stuff. Week 3 at 0.75 mg with better syringe. Managing 1400-1800 kcal with 150 g protein but have to push food the first couple days after each shot. Surprised how strong the effects are at these low doses, especially the total loss of food noise and cravings.

PlainAlder11archiveJun 22

Started 9 mg yesterday, no sides except the usual sleep issues. Normally get bedtime heartburn but not this time.

GreyCinder78archiveJun 22
↳ replying to @BlueCompass77

This is the way. If it's working keep at it. Nice progress.

GreyTimber60archiveJun 22
↳ replying to @PlainBeacon58

Another idea is adding cagri to the stack. I'm on 2.5 mg reta weekly and food noise is mostly gone but I still think about food more than before. Considering cagri but heard you have to start at very low doses.

IronHarbour22archiveJun 22

Four weeks at 2 mg, four at 4 mg, just finished first week at 5 mg. First time since the very beginning that I don't even want to look at food. Goal is to stay around 4-6 mg for a while then drop to 2 mg near goal weight.

BrightCompass30archiveJun 22

Now thinking I should move to 5 mg too to get that feeling back. Still can't decide on stacking tirz or cagri, maybe try 5 mg reta first.

SharpTimber80archiveJun 22
↳ replying to @BrightCompass30

I'd go higher. 4-5 mg is still low. I saw the biggest change going from 5 to 6 mg.

PlainAlder11archiveJun 22
↳ replying to @IronHarbour22

5 mg was rough. Did one 5 mg after six at 4 mg, then six at 6 mg which worked until the last two where nothing happened and sleep got bad. One 7 mg didn't help. Five at 8 mg was decent but sleep was terrible and loss stalled. Just started 9 mg and can already tell we should have gone to 10 mg. These 1 mg jumps aren't cutting it for us.

Congrats on finding what works for you and being smart about not rushing weight loss too fast. We have time to do this at a pace that feels good for our bodies.

PatientPebble79archiveJun 23
↳ replying to @RustKettle57

It's always easier to add than to take away. Hard to know ahead of time how sensitive you'll be, and taking more than you can handle right away can make for some miserable days.

PatientPebble79archiveJun 23
↳ replying to @GreyBramble56

Why go with reta for food noise specifically? Tirz might handle that better instead of pushing reta higher.

PatientFenwick91archiveJun 23

Thanks. Patience is all I have left after six months on reta with daily GI sides and zero results. Family history of bad insulin resistance made me stick with it anyway. Stopped reta after that post and cagri after one shot because it couldn't beat the food noise reta was causing even at 1 mg. Over the next weeks lost 12 lb, some water but not all. Waited for everything to clear then tried 250 mcg cagri and it finally works now that reta is gone. Other peptides are working again too and no more injection site reactions. Glad to be off reta and done with GLP-1s.

PatientHarbour61archiveJun 23

I went back down to 12 after running 24 for a couple months.

I hit my ceiling at four milligrams. Progress stopped after that and now I'm unsure if increasing to five the following day makes sense or if I should just keep four. Nearly daily surfing sessions have helped me gain muscle which makes the decision tricky.

ClearQuill84archiveJun 23
↳ replying to @WarmMarble23

Two days back I raised my dose from three milligrams to four and I notice the effects more strongly. This isn't unusual compared to before since increasing it always makes the hit stronger.

PatientMarble32archiveJun 23

Stuck with the third phase dosing plan. Shed one hundred ten pounds and my current body fat is fourteen point two percent while visceral fat measures two point three.

WrySignal53archiveJun 23

I took half a milligram during the opening week then one milligram the week after. Being new to reta I ran into nothing at all.

GreyQuill34archiveJun 23
↳ replying to @PlainAnchor18

I'm taking five milligrams weekly at the moment but think the schedule should shift to five or six day intervals instead. Toward the close of each week my appetite feels back to usual since the constant thoughts about eating have disappeared altogether. Digestion stays extremely sluggish and that part feels pretty unpleasant.

PlainKettle39archiveJun 23

I ended up taking six milligrams more the day before but eight would have suited me better.

GreenCompass92archiveJun 23
↳ replying to @WrySignal53

My intention is to move over to that medication too. Getting beyond the lowest level with the first one required ages of effort, which leads me to expect the newer option won't feel any gentler on my body.

GreyFenwick29archiveJun 24

Ten weeks have passed and I've dropped forty-five pounds. I started with 0.5 milligrams and increased gradually up to 5 milligrams, and that dose works well for me. I've paired this with MOTS-C. The way it has diminished my hunger pangs and persistent food thoughts has really amazed me.

GreenAnchor78archiveJun 24

I've been on this for four months now and I'm taking 4 milligrams, having begun with 2. For about two weeks I tried raising it to 6 but ended up feeling unwell. Not certain whether the higher amount caused that, yet once I recovered I dropped back to 4. I've shed nearly 40 pounds so far, getting near my target while the weight keeps coming off. I could attempt going up to 6 again briefly or remain at my present level. The way my body has handled these amounts makes me pleased, though I really should prioritize more physical activity.

I'm wrapping up the eighth week on this 6.5 mg dose. Began at two hundred twenty-nine pounds and reached two hundred four today. I exercise five to seven days weekly, including over half an hour on the inclined treadmill along with my regular training sessions. Despite consuming fewer calories than I burn, I focus on getting enough protein and managed to build muscle mass through this reduction phase without shedding any.

SharpThistle89archiveJun 24

After six months I'm now using six milligrams every seven days. My body weight has held steady despite consuming food and beverages freely. At present I'm in shape weighing between one hundred seventy and one hundred seventy five pounds. Cutting further would mean dropping an additional ten or fifteen pounds if I chose to. Toward the end of July I expect to lower the dosage as I prepare to begin bulking once more.

IronHarbour22archiveJun 24
↳ replying to @PlainAlder11

I really hope I won't have to bump the amount up any further than this. My weight keeps dropping around one point seven five pounds each week on average now that I'm sitting at one hundred ninety eight pounds with a body mass index close to twenty eight after removing that early four pound fluid loss. My target is one hundred seventy five to one hundred eighty and then I'll begin easing the amount back. Reaching that zone will leave me content with holding steady or shedding at a glacial pace. I'm also mulling over switching to the other option around then since my resting heart rate sits a touch higher with this current one and I figure I'll keep a low amount going long term so we'll see what the heart rate does once the amount comes down. Research showed it usually returns to normal after roughly twenty four weeks on average too. It also hands me a reason to build a small reserve of the other option for my own stash.

How come no one's mentioning this standout detail? Taking twenty four milligrams of that substance across several weeks? That guy is basically an inspiration to me. He researched using half that amount, then recommended going close to an entire thirty milligram container injected under the skin.

RustMarble78archiveJun 24
↳ replying to @PatientFenwick91

No way, nothing came off at all? This is really hard for me to believe.

QuietSignal96archiveJun 24
↳ replying to @PatientHarbour61

Wow, twenty four milligrams seems extreme. When I raised my amount to nine it started irritating my hemorrhoids badly. People have mentioned terrible cramps and discomfort beyond fifteen, and I'm curious why they do that high dose and what happens from it.

Show that my claim falls short without spelling it out plainly. Locate a medication guaranteed to function perfectly for absolutely every person on earth. Holding my breath for your example.

QuietAnchor73archiveJun 25
↳ replying to @RustMarble78

It turns out that resistance to GLP-1 comes from a gene known as PAM.

PatientHarbour61archiveJun 25
↳ replying to @QuietSignal96

Usually a dose of 12 suits me fine, yet while ramping up my intake of the oil that amount fell short. So I bumped it to 18 for seven days followed by 24. Everything felt ordinary without problems or unwanted reactions aside from minor skin tenderness. That level kept my hunger steady. It also lowered my blood fats and cholesterol levels beyond what 12 achieves. A few weeks back I returned to 12 to allow myself to act foolish elsewhere.
