Cagrilintide stack with Reta?

37 replies25 peopleMay 28, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

Can Cagrilintide be stacked with Retatrutide and how should dosing and administration be handled?

Users report that the two can be combined but recommend separate pens and injections on different days to allow independent titration. Most start Cagrilintide at very low doses like 0.25 mg because it can cause strong appetite suppression along with fatigue or nausea that hits 24 hours or more after injection. Several keep Retatrutide on a 6-day schedule and add Cagrilintide on its own day, with mixed experiences on whether the pair outperforms Retatrutide alone for hunger control.

Hi everyone, is it possible to put Cagrilintide and Reta together in one pen? If yes, how would you go about it?

PatientTimber45archiveMay 28

Better to keep them in separate pens so you can adjust the Cagrilintide up or down without wasting a whole batch of Reta.

No answer here, but curious what doses you are considering. Thinking about adding Cag myself.

WryTimber41archiveMay 28

I'm thinking somewhere between 300 mcg and 500 mcg.

QuietQuill30archiveMay 28

I keep them separate and pin on different days, Reta every six days and Cag every seven. Working well so far.

PatientHarbour23archiveMay 28

Use separate pens and injections. Start extremely low with Cagri if you are new to it.

Cagrilintide needs a lower pH when reconstituted to avoid breaking down or forming fibrils, so mixing them probably isn't ideal if you want to store the mix longer than a couple weeks.

Tried 250 mcg of Cag this morning. No sides yet and hunger still feels normal. Will check again next week.

My GLP effects usually show up later in the day when I pin in the morning. With Cagri at 250 mcg it took about two days then hit hard out of nowhere. The fatigue was bad enough to keep me in bed.

PatientWillow72archiveMay 29

Right now I'm on 1 mg Cagri and 5 mg Reta each week. Planning to go up to 10 mg on Reta and adjust Cagri as needed. Had to pause for surgery and am restarting with quicker titration. Earlier I reached 10 mg Reta and 2 mg Cagri with decent results, though hunger control was stronger on Tirz. Switched because Tirz caused constipation that Reta does not seem to trigger for me.

SlowKettle11archiveMay 29

What do you reconstitute Cagri with and at what strength to keep fibrils from forming?

WarmMeadow92archiveMay 29
↳ replying to @SlowKettle11

Most just use regular bac water and skip the pH adjustment. Those who do adjust usually add small amounts of acetic acid after testing. One person mentioned a 50/50 mix of bac water and diluted acetic acid. After looking into it I think the fibril risk is low and since the peptide is cheap I just use bac water and shorten how long I keep the vial.

PatientHarbour23archiveMay 29

I used acetic acid for mine. Also, Cagri tends to kick in about 24 hours later and can hit quite strongly.

So is 250 mcg a reasonable place to begin?

SteadyLantern77archiveJun 1
↳ replying to @WryTimber41

250 mcg of Cag produced nothing after five days. Planning a small increase this week and will reassess.

SlowSparrow78archiveJun 1

I'm on 2 mg Reta every six days and add 0.25 mg Cag when needed. Cag hits hard with great appetite and food-noise control but nausea can be too much. I wouldn't mix them in one pen. A friend is on higher amounts of both and still increasing while I can barely handle 250-300 mcg. After the first pin I felt very tired the next morning but that passed and didn't return. I rate Cag highly as an add-on to Reta, just start small and pin it on a different day.

PatientSignal21archiveJun 4

Tried the combo yesterday, 5 mg Reta plus 0.25 mg Cagri in the morning. Hunger suppression was already noticeable by evening.

WryTimber41archiveJun 10

Quick update: 6 mg Reta with 250 mcg Cag is working amazingly well.

Same experience here. Started noticing more at 750 mcg. Now on 1 mg with some appetite suppression but also quite tired. Trying to find the right balance since I want to eventually drop Reta. Tomorrow is injection day and I might drop back to 750 mcg because of the fatigue.

WryFenwick45archiveJun 30

Began at 0.25 mg and now use 0.50 mg of Cagri. Pin Reta on Monday between 2-4 mg depending on how I feel, then Cagri on Tuesday. The longer I stay on Reta the less I seem to need. Also ordered some Elora and might try Cagri-Semi just to check it out.

Still in month one of Reta, currently 2 mg twice a week. Still getting food noise and old habits are hard to break, so I have a kit of Cagri on the way.

GreenBeacon89archiveJul 2

Not sure about stability if mixed in the same cartridge because of possible pH differences, so separate pens seem safer. Also watch your Cagri dose carefully when using it with a GLP. I started at the usual 0.2 mg but had to drop to 0.05 mg to avoid bad sides.

RustSparrow80archiveJul 17

What are people's reasons for stacking the two? I have started Reta, is adding Cagri worth it?

KeenThistle61archiveJul 18
↳ replying to @RustSparrow80

Some people do not get strong appetite suppression from Reta, especially at lower doses, and Cag fills that gap. Others prefer to max out the GLP first before adding Cag, while some keep Reta lower and use Cag instead. Only you can decide. I would not add it right away if you just started. Give Reta four weeks to reach steady state before judging.

IronKettle95archiveJul 18
↳ replying to @RustSparrow80

I'm on 7.5 mg Tirz and 4 mg Reta and consider myself a super responder, losing steadily for 18 weeks with no stalls. Others need much higher doses and sometimes add Cagri to break a stall. I have thought about keeping some on hand because it is inexpensive. As I near goal weight the process could get harder and stalls might appear.

KeenBramble12archiveAug 3

Slightly different question. Been on 1.5 mg Reta per week for just over 12 weeks and it has been great, helping drop 7 peri-menopause pounds despite consistent training and steps. Also using GHK-Cu. Want to cycle off both slowly so I can keep doses low and avoid tolerance, then bring them back after a 12-14 week break. During the break I plan to use the smallest effective dose of Cagri for appetite and cravings plus Mots-C at 2 mg three times a week for up to eight weeks. Has anyone combined Cagri and Mots-C successfully for maintenance?

QuietCinder90archiveAug 6
↳ replying to @KeenBramble12

Mots-C and Cagri should pair well. From what I have seen on the forum they can also be used with Reta. What starting dose are you thinking for Cagri? It sometimes does not kick in until at least 1 mg, but beginning there can make you quite unwell.

KeenBramble12archiveAug 6
↳ replying to @QuietCinder90

Thinking just 0.25 mg to start because I really do not want to get sick. For Mots-C I was told 2 mg three times a week but will probably begin at 1 mg three times a week for the first week to check for sides. Cycling off Reta is mainly to avoid tolerance so I can rotate between stacks every 12-14 weeks and keep doses low.

QuietCinder90archiveAug 7
↳ replying to @KeenBramble12

0.25 mg matches what studies suggest. Not sure about Mots-C doses, have you checked the actual research? Cycling on and off Reta does not prevent tolerance. There is a maximum therapeutic dose like with other GLPs. Stopping and restarting can mean the effects are weaker the next time, and it takes time to build up again, so cycling just wastes time. Plenty of people have combined Mots-C, Reta, and Cagri without issue. Keep up hydration, fiber, resistance training, and watch mental health.

CopperSignal27archiveAug 7
↳ replying to @KeenBramble12

Cycling on and off GLP drugs might not be a good idea. Tolerance to appetite and weight-loss effects does not appear even after years on the same dose. A recent rodent study showed that stopping and restarting semaglutide on a high-fat diet led to reduced effectiveness over several cycles. Not yet confirmed in humans, but it was convincing enough for me to avoid cycling.

Now in month two of Reta, titrating slowly with almost no sides except some odd skin sensitivity. On 3 mg Reta twice a week and 0.250 mg Cagri in the middle of the week for the third week. Zero hunger, zero food noise, zero appetite yet I can still enjoy a meal or drink if I want. Down 14 kilos already. Never thought this would be possible for me. This forum has been a huge help.
