Switching a flaky gym trainer

Summary

how do you deal with an unreliable personal trainer and what other weekly frustrations are people facing

The original poster finally requested a new trainer after repeated cancellations over several months, including one case where new clients were prioritized instead. Replies veered into unrelated personal setbacks such as tax deadlines, a totaled new car from an accident, and poor in-store service experiences when trying to buy items. Participants expressed sympathy for the car accident and frustration with retail policies that favor online metrics over immediate help.

I finally reached my limit today and asked for a new trainer after mine bailed on me ten times across six months. Family issues come up, sure, but every other week is too much to handle. He even skipped once because he overbooked and put new clients first. What frustrating thing happened to you this week?

My tax extension deadline is coming up fast with 37 hours 34 minutes left....

Yeah, don't put up with that. I only had a trainer once during Covid because it was part of a loophole to see a rehab trainer weekly while gyms were closed, which gave me full gym access the whole time. He was good and the sessions were intense just how I like workouts. The point is you need someone reliable who also pushes you.

This morning another driver cut across my path and smashed up the vehicle. I'd only had it since July after setting money aside for months and purchasing it with cash. Now the whole thing is wrecked just from their rush to get somewhere.
