Injection Site Rotation Habits and Effects for Multiple Compounds

64 replies45 peopleApr 25, 2026β˜† Follow
Summary

How do users choose and rotate injection sites across compounds, and does site affect results or comfort?

Forum users describe personal rotation across thighs, abdomen, glutes, love handles and arms for compounds including Reta, Tirz, testosterone and GHK-Cu. Comfort varies with occasional soreness or bruising, and rotation is used to limit lumps. Several report no difference in systemic effects by location while one tracks outcomes via an app that logs sites. Multi-compound weekly schedules are shared but no preferred site stands out.

Right now I do HGH every day and Reta once weekly, both under the skin in my stomach area. I also get a testosterone shot in the muscle once a week. I'm considering splitting Reta to twice a week and splitting the TRT dose too, but that would mean a lot more pokes. Where do most of you usually put the needles? I'm considering moving the HGH to my shoulders even though the insulin needles are only 8 mm.

SteadyCinder89archiveApr 25

The stomach area works okay for me. The only spot that gave me a reaction was from ghk-cu, and that cleared up after about a week of daily shots.

PlainAnchor67archiveApr 25

I do test twice a week, alternating delts and glutes. I avoid the quads. Reta goes once a week in the gut. Growth, BPC and TB go every night in the belly, switching sides daily. Sometimes the BPC and TB go into the bad shoulder instead. Not sure if the spot changes anything.

BlueKettle13archiveApr 25

I used the stomach for six months with one to five shots a day mixing HGH, Tirz, Wolverine, IGF, CJC/IPA and test, no problems at first. Then little rashes started showing up and the area got more tender with every poke. Switched to glutes and rotate sides every other day. The belly has gone back to normal and I won't go back.

WarmCinder52archiveApr 25

Only tirzepatide here and I just go around the abdomen in a clockwise pattern. Thought about the arm but always forget when it's time.

BrightSparrow63archiveApr 25

I just inch and pinch around the abs.

NorthKettle44archiveApr 25

So far I've been circling around the abdomen, but I'm adding a few new peps and plan to move to glutes. Honest question for anyone who uses the butt: do you like upper glute a couple inches below the waist, the sides, middle, or lower?

The location matters to me because I sometimes end up with small bruises on the abdomen and I don't want those showing once summer gets here.

CopperAlder25archiveApr 25
↳ replying to @NorthKettle44

If it's subcutaneous the exact spot usually doesn't matter much, but for intramuscular it's better to check a diagram.

I think the earlier comment was about whether TB and BPC in the bad shoulder works differently than in the abdomen. My own question was only about SubQ preferences, though I'll remember the diagram if I ever switch to IM.

CopperSignal27archiveApr 25

IM hurts more than subq. Any area with loose skin works for subq. Upper thighs or butt can be good if you wear shorts and no shirt and want to hide bruises. For IM it's important to know the anatomy so you don't hit arteries, nerves or big veins.

I was saying I don't know if pinning BPC and TB into the shoulder works any better than the abdomen when the goal is treating the shoulder itself.

SteadyPebble72archiveApr 25

I switch between stomach and legs. Plenty of spots to rotate so nothing gets overused. I pin twice daily most days and three times on one day each week.

SteadyPebble72archiveApr 25
↳ replying to @PlainAnchor67

Research shows the spot doesn't change results. You're just activating the receptor with the peptide, so location doesn't matter. It only matters that you do it subq the way it's meant to be done instead of IM.

PlainAlder11archiveApr 25

Belly works, so the butt cheeks are fine for Reta too?

LevelThistle44archiveApr 25
↳ replying to @PlainAlder11

Any area with enough subcutaneous fat is fine. I put almost everything in the abdomen but sometimes try another spot out of curiosity.

WryHarbour76archiveApr 25

I used to split Tirz, then added split-dose Reta on top, then daily tesa and klow. That got to be too much so now I just do Tirz and Reta on opposite sides of the week. The belly sometimes feels bruised so lately I just pin wherever without any system.

I was thinking about giving the wife a shot in the butt, not in the usual way. She probably wouldn't even notice, unlike the belly where she just complains a lot.

LevelThistle44archiveApr 25

Now I'm not sure which way you mean you're not talking about.

SharpLedger57archiveApr 25

I've always used the stomach.

ClearLantern26archiveApr 25

I do mt2 every day and Reta in the belly.

RustBeacon82archiveApr 25

Reta or Tirz always go in the belly. Everything else goes wherever I can pinch a fat roll, except the inner thigh.

LevelWillow41archiveApr 25

I've ended up with Reta in the belly and klow in the butt. Klow was causing too much bruising on the abdomen no matter how much I diluted it.

NorthKettle98archiveApr 25

In the kitchen. Just kidding.

ClearQuill84archiveApr 25

Love handles. I don't like them so I let them take the shots and hopefully shrink.

AmberCinder18archiveApr 25

Abdomen, switching between left and right.

PatientBeacon42archiveApr 25

Tirz, mots-c and ss-31 go around the abdomen. Selank and semax go in the back of the arms. Ghk-cu goes in the flank. I tried thighs with most of them but always got burning and itchy reactions only on the thighs, so I skip thighs completely.

IronLantern24archiveApr 25

Reta goes in the belly. GHK-CU goes in the fattiest part of the ass.

CopperMarble29archiveApr 25

HGH and Reta or other subq peptides go in the upper outer part of the butt with a 32g half-inch syringe. It's less noticeable and less painful than the abdomen. Testosterone goes IM into the middle third of the outer quads or the same butt spot as the subq shots, using a 28g half-inch syringe. Nothing shows at all. I did the same with CJC plus Ipamorelin a couple months at three times daily. Now it's test twice weekly plus hcg every other day with a 27g needle into the butt and nothing is visible or leaves marks.

BrightBeacon35archiveApr 25

Subq in the love handle area works well, and the abdomen is fine too.

ClearMeadow73archiveApr 25

GLPs go in the stomach or arms. Epitalon used to be stomach but now upper side of the thighs. MOTS-C stays in the stomach. KLOW and GHK-CU go in the butt. All subq of course.

SteadyQuill55archiveApr 25

My sequence begins at the bottom left of my stomach then moves over to the right side down there. After that come the left and right sides of my waist followed by each cheek. I keep track by sliding a magnet around on the fridge after every injection.

WarmAlder92archiveApr 25
↳ replying to @SteadyQuill55

Another good trick is to pick one general side or area for each different pep. That way if one causes an injection site reaction you know which one it was. If something starts giving you a reaction, move it around, take benadryl, and try a deeper needle. Always good to have an epipen or Neffy ready too, because once anaphylactic shock starts it's too late to figure out what to do.

BrightMeadow28archiveApr 25
↳ replying to @CopperAlder25

That's the spot I use for GHK-CU because the abdomen or love handles get sore like a bruise right after the shot. I saw it in a Youtube video where the guy's doctor suggested it, and there's no discomfort at all. Reta I can put anywhere without any soreness.

PlainAlder11archiveApr 25
↳ replying to @SteadyQuill55

That's actually a good system. Do you have an abdomen or butt picture to reference? I could sketch a rough front and back view myself I guess.

SteadyQuill55archiveApr 25
↳ replying to @PlainAlder11

No picture, I just drew a square on the fridge. If the magnet is near the middle on either side it means abdomen. Near the edge of the square means love handle. Just outside the square means butt.

PlainAlder11archiveApr 25
↳ replying to @SteadyQuill55

I'm doing something similar but on the garage fridge. Thanks.

SlowAlder69archiveApr 27

Reta goes in the belly.

KeenAlder60archiveApr 27

All my shots go into the upper thighs since the belly area hurts more.

KeenHarbour58archiveApr 27

Stomach works fine because there is lots of room available. πŸ˜† Thighs only get used for that annoying auto injector I dislike for one of my meds, which gives an option once the belly gets less squishy. Some peptides like tirz can create fatty lumps under the skin if the same spot is used repeatedly, which feels unpleasant, so I rotate sites.

QuietLedger67archiveApr 27

Abdomen used to be my spot but thighs work better now because fat is still present there.

NorthWillow36archiveApr 27
↳ replying to @CopperAlder25 (opening post)

Clockwise rotation through numbers 1 to 106 for the subq shots and I just switch between the glutes for the twice weekly IM test, sometimes using thighs instead.

PatientQuill20archiveApr 27

Everything stayed in the abdomen until bruising started showing up, which pushed me into rotating. Eight reliable spots work without issues now and upper thigh is my top choice. Glow goes right in the center of the butt cheek or the thigh is fine too, though love handles have not been tried.

LevelFenwick49archiveApr 27

Abdomen gets divided into quadrants for rotation. Thigh has been considered but one weekly shot so far means no real need yet, and the back of the arm feels risky because a welt could appear and stay visible all day.

CopperAlder25archiveApr 27

Certain injection spots on me bleed more often, especially the lower abdomen below the navel where it seems more vascular.

NorthKettle44archiveApr 27
↳ replying to @CopperAlder25

Going around the navel repeatedly has only produced one bleed for me, way back at the start on the lower left side when the needle went in slowly because I lacked confidence. That one hurt, bled on withdrawal, and left a small bruise, so I stopped inserting slowly and have not bled since.

NorthCompass23archiveApr 27

Reta stays in the abs but an accidental glute shot last week felt fine with no change noticed in how well it worked, any sides, or how fast effects showed up.
