I used to get bad seasonal atopic dermatitis on my palm right under the ring finger. It would itch, swell, form lots of little blisters and ooze. A while back I came across the idea that oat fiber has anti-inflammatory effects. At the time I was looking into alternative proteins and didn't know much about fibers or immunity, so I picked up some insoluble oat fiber, stirred it into vaseline with a little water and ordinary lotion until it made a smooth paste, and put it on the sore spot for three days. The area cleared up without any scars and has stayed clear ever since. Plain vaseline had never helped, so the fiber must have been the active part. My mom has rosacea on her face and has been using the same mix; she says it works better than any steroid cream or skincare product she's tried. People should give it a shot and let others know how it goes.
