Has anybody tried mixing either pair together in a pen and run into problems? Doses are usually spread across the week, but I wondered whether putting them in one cartridge would work without issues.
I read that Cagri alters glucagon receptor activity somehow. That explains why it's taken on the days between Reta shots. So mixing them in one cartridge is not a good idea.
I have not seen that mentioned anywhere before.
I can no longer locate the paper. There is still a reason to avoid taking them on the same day though.
Cagri suppresses glucagon. People mix that up with suppressing the glucagon receptor, but those are different. Reta also suppresses glucagon, which shows the distinction. I still would not put them in the same pen. Similar combo efforts have dragged on without success. Why assume this version will suddenly work?
I would not do it either. Reta reacts to pH shifts and many other factors. Plenty of reports show it clouding up from unsuitable BAC water. When I once tried mixing it with another peptide I saw white strings form in the syringe. After that I stopped combining Reta with anything. Cagri needs a low pH setting, so a reaction is possible. Mixing peptides for quick injection is different from keeping them in a pen for a month.
