Reta – side effects timing: immediate or delayed?

7 replies6 peopleJan 3, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

When do side effects from Reta appear after an injection, right away or with a delay?

Users report mixed timing for effects like mood changes and fatigue, with some noting a lag of 1-3 days possibly tied to drug buildup. Injection-site itching can start after a day and persist for several more. Diet appears to influence nausea and related issues, while early low doses rarely cause strong reactions unless the person is unusually sensitive.

Anyone on Reta seeing sides hit right after the shot or show up two or three days later? Two days post-injection I'm feeling a flatter mood, but right after and the next day I felt fine. Trying to figure out if that delay lines up with how Reta works or if others noticed the same thing.

Yeah that can happen since the drug builds up in your system over time.

Took my first 0.5 mg shot two days ago. Not sure if I caught a bug, if it was a testosterone headache from that morning shot, or just from staying up late on New Year's Eve. I've been wiped out with fatigue, headache, thirst, and no energy. Felt a bit better today. Next shot in about 36 hours so I'll check if it happens again.

Haven't heard of that kind of reaction from such a small first dose unless someone accidentally took 5 mg instead. Some people are just extra sensitive and can't handle it at all, but that would be unfortunate.

The amount of ret in your body builds up if you stay on the same dose for weeks. I've seen that nausea, headaches, and burping seem to depend on what you eat, with bigger or fattier meals making them more likely.

Appreciate you sharing that. I'm also just starting out and have the next shot coming in roughly 36 hours. Mind letting me know how the second one goes for you? Good luck.

Sure thing. I'm leaning toward this being a minor cold or little virus instead.

The red spot and itching at the injection site usually shows up the next day and sticks around for about five days.
