I am naturally tachycardic so daytime rates are usually 90-95 bpm or higher. Nighttime resting heart rate seemed a little higher than usual, maybe up by no more than 5 bpm from my normal low 70s. Currently on 2 mg every five days for just over a month.

I am up about 8 or 9 bpm and also sweating more. Getting only six hours of sleep a night with no option to sleep longer. Six doses in at 1.5 mg so far.

Started at 1.5 mg per week and now on 1 mg. Low dose, I know. No effect at all on resting heart rate according to my smart watch.

Sleep resting rate is up by 6-7 compared with before.

I am also struggling with sleep. Magnesium is not helping.

I have seen multiple people say eating some carbs before bed helped them sleep longer or get back to normal duration. Tried it myself and got no improvement, just six hours and fourteen minutes. Sleep stayed disrupted for over two months. The shorter nights did not really slow me down during the day though. I seem to be returning to what feels normal. Weight loss is steady but slow. Normal is just a word anyway as the physical changes keep happening. My body seems to know more than I do, but I still watch for issues.

Only on week six so hopefully it improves. Average around six hours now and want at least seven or eight. Being fifty might also be a factor along with work stress.

Resting heart rate was 65 before any glp-1s. It rose to 72 for a while on reta. At three and a half months it dropped back to 67. Blood pressure moved from 150/89 down to 128/77.

It does not get better. At twenty-five weeks on 9 mg I go to bed around eight, sleep well until one or one-thirty, then toss and turn. Finally get up at four or four-thirty. Early bedtime has always been my pattern even after retiring two years ago.

Those numbers and the time frame line up exactly with what I have seen.

My resting heart rate started really high at 87 bpm. A little over a month in it is now 66 bpm and I have lost 26 pounds. Blood pressure also dropped to 124/87 from 151/98 when I began.

Before reta my resting heart rate was 73. At 2 mg it went to 78. At 4 mg it reached 82-86. During the second week at 4 mg I took cjc/ipa right before bed like usual and heart rate jumped to 107 while trying to sleep. It came back down after ten minutes and that scared me. Never noticed cjc/ipa raising heart rate before, so I have not used it since.

Had not thought to check until seeing this thread, but mine rose 5 bpm. Watch showed resting heart rate at 55 bpm for the last two years. After starting reta three weeks ago at 1 mg weekly it has been at 60 bpm. The increase is not something I have felt physically.

NorthPebble93archiveJul 6

Monthly averages from my smartwatch show May at 58 after starting around the 20th, then June at 76 while on 1 mg weekly except the last week at 2 mg. Blood pressure dropped though, measured on a medically certified device. Average sleep time also fell by about ninety minutes since starting reta.

Resting heart rate stayed at 60-62 before and after. Interesting how much experiences differ. I check daily.

PlainAnchor67archiveJul 6

I stopped reta because of the increased heart rate. There were whole days above 100 bpm. My normal resting rate is in the low 50s.

PlainAlder11archiveJul 6

Already posted in this thread. Heart rate up around 8 bpm. Some mornings it is 72-74. Blood pressure and cholesterol are both down a bit.

Not sure if it is the weight loss or reta that is lowering blood pressure. My resting heart rate is still elevated but only by about 5 bpm, maybe 9-10 with some error. Twelve weeks on reta with slow dose increases, now at 4 mg once a week. First dose was noticeable, after that not much. Not worried as long as resting rate stays below 90. Not a doctor, just a regular guy. Results vary.

Mine is up about 10 bpm. HRV has stayed flat, though I recently began CBD gummies which might be supporting it.

BrightCompass57archiveJul 15

No negative effects so far but I am only up to 2.6 mg weekly.

WryBramble37archiveJul 15

Mine has risen about 10 bpm at 2 mg and now at 1 mg of reta. Blood pressure has moved down to low normal though, so that is an acceptable trade-off since it usually runs high normal or a bit above.
