Two problems stand out for me. Consuming candy triggers more desire for candy, and everything traces back to the gut bacteria. I swapped out treats for healthier choices. Back when aiming for my target, I turned to these options instead. Chilled grapes helped because they take longer to consume and keep calories plus fat low. Bars packed with protein gave me treats along with some upside. Shakes with protein tasted great in chocolate flavor. Most frequently though, I mixed plain low-fat greek yogurt with berries and some oats to add roughage. The reason treats increase the urge for more treats:
Hey everyone, I'm hoping for ideas on ways to deal with intense desires for sweets. As a forty three year old man dealing with extra weight and poor fitness, I've gotten my eating under better control lately by monitoring calories and nutrients. Before this I spent about a year using Zepbound and shed nearly ninety pounds experiencing almost no negative reactions. Sadly I needed to quit so most of the weight returned and now those urges for food feel stronger. Although adjusting what I consume has eased some of that, the pull toward sugary stuff remains tough to handle. It would be great to hear what others have tried that worked for similar urges. Right now I'm not using any glp medications but intend to restart tirz down the line. Appreciate any input!
