Roughly half the cartridges I have start leaking once they're inside my pens. It would be useful to spot the bad ones ahead of time.

I've noticed those cartridges tend to get stuck more often on the automatic devices than they do with the hand-operated ones. Someone mentioned in a thread that the connectors might have been put in upside down as a factor.
I hadn't realized this could be a problem at all. So what's the right approach? I've been considering doing the sterilization on my carts one more time, but the difficulty comes from pulling out the plugs first and then sliding them back in without opening the clean packaging.

I just came across that site yesterday too on TG. Someone was asking about different pens and their comparison page was provided. It was a pretty cool summary page. The prices are okay there, but I picked up 2 Savvio pens for less each elsewhere. I also picked up a Ganuslin from another place and paid more, but that site is out of stock.

I began trying out injection pens recently for my cjc/ipa and ghk/kpv mixes. Acquired three nest models along with several needles from one seller. Also obtained two convipens plus cartridges from a different provider. Encountered no difficulties with either source even if the second one looked somewhat questionable during purchase process yet everything went smoothly. My spouse took the convipen so I haven't tried it. Relying on the manual versions of the nest pens instead. Since this marks my initial attempt I lack any basis for comparison. Checked the nest device solely using water and it appeared quite precise. The instructions for the nest mentioned avoiding fridge storage. I am disregarding that recommendation however I figured I should mention it. Appreciated how it came with instructions, quality assurance labels, and a protective holder.
I'm uncertain here. I've examined images of standard insulin cartridges produced by major manufacturers and observed inconsistencies either way. Production guidelines reference a silicone layer applied to the inner surface of the vial. This leaves me questioning whether retail versions retain that layer or if sterilization processes interfere with it.
I'm concerned that taking the cartridge apart might let the steam strip off the silicone layer. It feels like there's no way to come out ahead. I contacted them to check if they'd be open to supplying sterile cartridges for injections or the 3 ml dental versions. I'll give an update here if they agree.
After sterilizing my cartridges with steam they still performed without issues. I positioned them sideways and rotated them when they stayed hot to move the silicon around if that seemed like a problem.
That's wonderful. What approach do you take to eliminate bacteria? Pressure cooking device? Light waves? Tell me about the gear and procedures you employ.
I seal the items inside sterilization bags before running them through the autoclave. Once everything has cooled and dried enough to touch without risk I replace the closures right away. With a pressure cooker I set the bags upright on their sides and finish drying them inside a clean sealed area.
I've been thinking about trying out injection pens even though I don't really require them. Right now I'm doing three shots each day using individual containers to test for unusual side effects, and the needles are building up which bothers me a lot. That's why I got two gray models, but I really wish I could get them in blue or pink or black instead.
I'd say the comment pointed to using both a high and low number when it comes to needle size.
Yeah that checks out. I worked through it using the approach I already had in mind. Absolutely no chance I'll go with the thicker wider needle for shooting my dose. The idea holds up but finding any decent thirty one gauge eight millimeter slip tip is impossible.
I trust what you're saying. I'm searching for a reliable option among pen needles, but even the most recommended brand hasn't worked out perfectly for me.
Those well-reviewed versions don't match all the praise they receive, yet they're still quite decent so I plan to stick with them. The alternatives have turned out the finest I've come across so far. My spouse feels the same.
I'm curious what version you're going with given all the different options like the tiny ones or even smaller micro sizes. The earlier ones I got just didn't work out for me.

That model also grabs my attention. Being someone who enjoys physical feedback, the pressing sounds from my low-cost prior version really appeal, and it keeps functioning without issues. Thinking about moving up to something nicer seems tempting, but I suspect I'd have to pick from the other choices instead.
Personally I prefer the autoclave device yet I've seen reports of others employing a complete pressure cooking arrangement. Steam based processes always leave the bag moist so drying has to be done carefully to stop any microbes contacting the damp paper or else they enter it.

I received the latest batch and they seem quite good overall. The construction quality stands out as really solid to me. One downside though is how the cartridge section relies on a spring setup instead of screws like the prior model. That screwed approach just feels more logical. A few times now the cartridge section has popped free while I was removing an old needle. I already knew about this possibility beforehand and others have mentioned adjusting your grip to avoid it. Kind of reminds me of when that big device maker claims we're all gripping our gadgets incorrectly. I spent some cash on each one including delivery and I'm not convinced the slight improvement in quality is worth it compared to the prior model. I do like the prior model. That said certain people prefer recognizable brands so I've been considering picking up a couple extras just to keep on hand even though I have no actual need for more.
Appreciate the response. Came across talk of one option but it's become tricky to track down lately so now the other choice seems worth a look after noticing the nice feedback on them too. Could use an extra writing tool, funny.
The injector looks good and works consistently. I put one model through lots of checks and it delivered steady amounts each time. I seem to prefer that model over the other since I mixed up some medication last weekend and loaded it into the preferred one instead. Both versions fit inside this carrying case. The case itself is interesting yet I have doubts regarding its automatic delivery system. I tend to favor manual operation myself.

I got around to checking out three basic version two devices that came from separate places. They all measured out the right amount, which made me happy. One of them isn't quite as steady when releasing the stuffβit kind of jerks a bit while pushing down, unlike the smoother ones. Knowing it's that particular device, I just vary how hard I push to make up for it.
I flushed mine using six water-filled cartridges and afterward it ran much smoother.
I found my pen starts acting uneven when the rubber stopper sits reversed inside the cartridge. A couple of mine had the wider side pointing outward rather than toward the fluid.
That's intriguing. Since my supply comes from a pair of separate providers, perhaps the problem lies with the specific batch in my possession. I should examine each one more carefully to determine whether this explains it.
Personally I've noticed the initial models work superiorly once the containers are almost depleted. Their insertion process occurs at a quicker pace. The other kind requires manual aid near the finish when only a bit is left inside. Those updated versions include a plastic threaded part and make no noise, allowing adjustment of how fast the insertion goes if preferred.
Latest observation shows that near the conclusion of these containers the device encounters difficulties too. There isn't an obvious method to assist the process similar to the other model. Instead I'm employing an alternative injector along with a connector for the final amount. The previous device allows rotating the base to activate the mechanism. I've been utilizing thirty gauge needles one point two millimeters long and considering a reduction in length. The substance was mixed eight days prior using two ten milligram portions in a three milliliter container along with one point six milliliters of bacteriostatic solution per container.
