Spot reduce, Reta?

Summary

Does retatrutide change the usual order of fat loss compared with diet and exercise?

Users report that fat disappeared from different areas on Reta than in past diets or fasting. Several saw stomach, face, chest and moobs reduce first while legs or back fat lagged, reversing their normal pattern. One person noted stomach loss only after months, and another saw veins and sharper features with legs staying the same. The triple-agonist action is suggested as a possible reason for the shift.

Been using it a few months and the areas that slimmed down are not the usual ones. Diet plus gym normally takes my butt and legs first. This time stomach, chest, face, legs and rear all went together. Curious how it went for everyone else. I assumed the loss would follow my typical pattern.

Everything slimmed except stomach, back fat and chest until recently. Stomach has begun to go now and chest too. Back fat is still hanging on though.

Right, but in earlier diets what areas usually went first for you?

Stomach was always the first place to shrink.

Might be the medication itself. Being a triple agonist it also activates glucagon receptors beyond the usual GLP-1 and GIP ones. Glucagon can promote fat breakdown more directly than calorie reduction alone, so the sequence could shift and hormone-sensitive spots like face or chest might respond sooner. Not certain, but it lines up with the changed order you saw.

My experience has been different too. Face, chest and arms came down most, abdomen much less so. Years ago with fasting the abdomen and legs were the main areas that shrank. This feels easier overall because I am not constantly battling hunger or self-control.

Down 12 kg so far. Veins are showing more, belly is shrinking and face is looking leaner each week. Legs have stayed about the same, which does not bother me. That is the progress up to now.
