Summary

What compounds stack best with retatrutide to boost endurance, recovery, and gym or cycling output?

Participants share experiences with MOTS-c for sustained energy during long rides or runs, recovery blends like BPC-157/TB-500, and compounds such as bromantane or cardarine. Several note improved workout tolerance and less fatigue on MOTS-c while on reta, though elevated heart rate is a common reta side effect. Recovery-focused options are often favored over pure performance enhancers for higher training volume.

I'm a middle-aged guy who lifts three or four times weekly, tracks meals, rides about seventy miles on the road bike each week, and gets seven to nine thousand steps a day. I've been on reta for five weeks now and have been looking into what might pair well with it. CJC/IPA came to mind, and MOTS as well. The piece I read left MOTS out, which was unexpected. I'm after better endurance both on the bike and in the gym, and MOTS looks promising without costing too much. Curious what others have seen work for athletic output.

AmberCompass33archiveMay 5

Personally I run MOTS every other day and alternate SS31 with SLUPP on the days in between. I tried NAD+ too but didn't notice much change in energy levels overall.

How long do you run a MOTS cycle? Appreciate the details.

AmberCompass33archiveMay 5
↳ replying to @SlowLantern46

I don't cycle MOTS at all. I just cycle the SS31 and SLUPP, six weeks on each.

SlowLantern46archiveMay 5
↳ replying to @AmberCompass33

So MOTS is run continuously then. Thanks.

AmberCompass33archiveMay 5
↳ replying to @SlowLantern46

Yes that's right. Only the SS31 and SLUPP get cycled. This is just what worked for me personally.

CopperBeacon48archiveMay 5

For cycling it depends on the goal. Are you trying to add mileage and power, or recover faster so you can ride more often? A few ideas: MOTS-c helps muscle glucose uptake and energy use. The BPC-157 plus TB500 stack, or KLOW with the added GHK-CU and KPV, improves recovery between sessions, cuts soreness, and eases joint aches. For longer rides I'd pick recovery first, then add enhancement if budget allows.

I like that approach. Might try it myself since side effects look minimal.

From one rider to another, enjoy the miles. Aging doesn't make it any easier.

WryCompass65archiveMay 5

I'm a mountain biker who got fit that way decades ago and later added lifting to fix imbalances from saddle time and desk work. Now fifty-three, on TRT for eight years at one-twenty split, plus HCG. Added tadalafil last year and this year started reta, tesamorelin, and the wolverine blend. Everything has stacked nicely for performance, recovery, and energy, plus better flexibility and less neck stiffness. Only downside is reta pushed my max heart rate up from the low one-eighties to the two-hundreds. Guidance was to watch it but not stress since it matches the rise in resting rate. Considering a switch to tirz, though some say heart rate settles after six to eight months. Current numbers are VO2 max forty-seven, FTP two-fifty, peak wattage thirteen-fifty-four.

GreyAlder96archiveMay 5

Not a peptide, but bromantane is worth a look for endurance work. It lowers how hard things feel without jitters or a crash, though it isn't allowed in tested events.

SlowSignal40archiveMay 5

If the heart-rate rise isn't a problem, clen, cialis, and ephedra help aerobic endurance. Also worth tracking SLU-PP-915.

GreyAlder96archiveMay 5

I haven't met anyone who actually gets better cardio or endurance from clen. Heart rate spikes, breathing gets rapid, and cramps show up even with taurine for some people.

SlowSignal40archiveMay 5
↳ replying to @GreyAlder96

Fair point, you don't know me. During my competitive years clen helped a lot of athletes once ephedrine was gone. Cramps usually trace back to dehydration or electrolyte issues. Dose carefully, same as any bronchodilator. The heart-rate and breathing increases are basically what exercise mimetics do.

That stuff feels too strong for what I need, though I've heard of it. Solid info in the thread overall, thanks everyone.

PatientTimber45archiveMay 6

Low-dose reta plus one hundred milligrams of TRT weekly with solid nutrition.

KeenPebble33archiveMay 6
↳ replying to @SlowSignal40

Ephedrine gives a nice stim effect but taxes the heart. I'd skip clen, it isn't as effective and hits the heart harder. Cardarine is another option, not a peptide or adrenergic agonist, but strong for endurance output, maybe better than ephedrine. Short cycles only, not long term.

SlowSignal40archiveMay 6

So cialis looks like the safest choice then.

PlainAnchor17archiveMay 6

Clen still has a role. At low body fat and in a deficit it helps spare muscle and makes the cut more efficient. Thirty or forty micrograms isn't too rough on sides. Never go above eighty and keep runs under two weeks. Plenty of people have used it without issues if they're careful and don't have heart or nerve problems. The apoptosis studies used huge rodent doses.

SlowLantern46archiveMay 6
↳ replying to @PlainAnchor17

So you're using the tablet version, not vials. Thanks.

SlowSignal40archiveMay 6
↳ replying to @SlowLantern46

Clen is oral. I stay at twenty micrograms and rarely take the full forty. No problems so far.

QuietSignal61archiveMay 6

Reading that makes me annoyed. As a memantine user I've wanted to try bromantane for years and still haven't. Any chance of sharing where you got it? For the original question I'm still sorting it out. MOTS helps a bit. Looking forward to trying SS31 once some arrives. These things add up fast. Got a DSIP sample and the last two nights were great at three to five hundred micrograms right before bed. TMG has lifted my energy noticeably, fish oil a little. With methylation issues I'm planning to add methylfolate and methyl B12 to support NAD. Overmethylators might do better with NAD; for me it just uses up methyl groups like flush niacin.

GreyAlder96archiveMay 6

I've sourced bromantane from a couple of research chemical sites.

QuietSignal61archiveMay 7
↳ replying to @GreyAlder96

Those sites look pretty rough. Takes me back. What else do you grab from places like that? Anything worth checking out?

GreyAlder96archiveMay 7
↳ replying to @QuietSignal61

Also picked up cardarine and the telmisartan/nebivolol combo for a blast. Cardarine plus bromantane works really well for mountain biking. First ride of the season and hit several personal records.

QuietSignal61archiveMay 7
↳ replying to @GreyAlder96

How often do you run cardarine? The cancer risk in the studies sounds extreme. Sounds like you're unstoppable on the trails. I'm on reta and experimenting with other things but need help with cardio energy. Does bromantane keep you awake at night? How does it compare to ephedrine, caffeine, or modafinil? Why nebivolol specifically? I take magnesium daily for heart issues and added tadalafil for mild hypertension. Considering atenolol again down the line. How's telmisartan working for you? Is that combo the usual way to manage blood pressure when on gear?

WryBramble37archiveMay 7

For gym output I use beta-alanine, same when dirt biking or mountain biking. I used to take it alone but now just use a bulk pre-workout that includes it along with other ingredients. It helps buffer lactic acid during high-intensity efforts like lifting or intervals.

GreyAlder96archiveMay 7
↳ replying to @QuietSignal61

A lot of people in the PED scene see cardarine at ten milligrams daily as relatively safe. The cancer study used rats already prone to cancer, fifteen times the human dose scaled to a one-kilogram rat, and they died earlier. Cardarine also helps keep lipids in check with orals. Nebivolol is a selective beta blocker up to ten milligrams. The nebivolol plus telmisartan pair is viewed as the most protective for the heart when using gear, especially against left-ventricular hypertrophy. I'm a high-mileage vet with a missing knee ligament, multiple injuries, asthma from exposure, and thyroid problems that left me weak. One day I decided to change that. Lost forty pounds then added eighteen pounds of lean mass confirmed by DEXA. Current stack is reta, KLOW, three IU HGH, two hundred test, seventy tren, cardarine, and bromantane twice a week before cardio. Tren is low-dose to test the cut hype and it raised BP so I'm on forty telmisartan and five nebivolol. Bromantane...

MOTS-c for energy, thirty minutes before workouts or long efforts. At night I take TB500, BPC-157, KPV, and GHK-Cu for recovery, inflammation, repair, and immune support.

SharpBramble33archiveMay 9
↳ replying to @QuietSignal61

SS-31 is supposed to run for about thirty days first before starting MOTS-c. Look it up yourself. Five hundred micrograms of DSIP did nothing for me. What's TMG? Five-AM I haven't tried, but SLU works though tolerance built quickly and I had to raise the dose a lot with the pills. If using pills, the SLU plus BAM15 stack felt like it made a difference, though maybe placebo.

GreyAlder96archiveMay 9
↳ replying to @SharpBramble33

TMG is trimethylglycine. Supplies the methyl groups needed to convert NR into NAD+.

QuietSignal61archiveMay 9
↳ replying to @SharpBramble33

I didn't have any SS31 at the time. I know the protocol, that's why I bought it. Try a higher dose. I did a full milligram last night. First try was around six-fifty and it worked well. Has to be pinned within thirty minutes of falling asleep. Trimethylglycine, also called betaine anhydrous. Supports methylation upstream of SAMe. Needed if using flush niacin for NAD or blasting large NAD doses without fatigue. Pair with methylfolate and B12 for best results. Sounds intense.

WarmAlder51archiveMay 22

Another vote for MOTS. Easy to see why it's banned in sports. I take it on run days and just don't tire out. Doesn't make me faster or fitter exactly, but five-Ks become a lot more enjoyable.

SlowLantern46archiveMay 22
↳ replying to @WarmAlder51

Running longer without fatigue could actually make you fitter over time, or let you hold a faster pace than usual.

BrightSignal76archiveMay 22

For performance I use MOTS-c and NAD+ along with a pre-workout. Currently Hyde from the store, cheap there. MOTS-c five milligrams Monday Wednesday Friday, NAD+ fifty milligrams every day. Anyone running higher doses or more often? Not sure if it accumulates. Might make sense to dose only on training days to avoid waste.

KeenHarbour69archiveMay 23

I take one milligram of MOTS-c daily and run every day. That schedule plus electrolytes and some carbs before the run works well for me.
