Summary

user experiences with reta for pcos symptoms and weight loss

Several users report easier weight loss, reduced hair growth, fewer acne breakouts, less bloating, and better blood markers after starting reta, including some who stopped other medications. One person saw no change in menstrual cycles while another experienced worsened acne and eczema that resolved after stopping. Improvements in insulin resistance and metabolic issues appear linked to the drug's effects.

Hi, I started this thread so we can all share what we've seen using Reta with PCOS. For me weight loss feels easier than before and my hair growth slowed down a lot, which means I don't need to shave nearly as often. How has it worked out for everyone else?

I figure reta will eventually ease insulin resistance and that should help PCOS too.

Yeah it does seem to. I used to do OMAD with long fasts for months and still lost far less than I have now with almost no effort. Things had gotten worse with age but most symptoms improved. My period still hasn't returned though, and it never came regularly anyway so infertility is probably still there. I saw somewhere reta might help with that as well, but we'll see.

I made it through the luteal phase without any acne and only minimal bloating this time, so it's been great for me.

I'd like to hear more from others. I had to quit Reta because my acne became really bad and my dishydrotic eczema flared up badly with new breakouts in places I never had them before. Nothing else in my routine changed except adding reta. It's settling down now that I stopped. I was disappointed since weight loss finally showed up at week 8. Maybe the product wasn't good quality. Curious what others noticed.

Sorry that happened. I haven't seen any skin issues since starting, but I also use GHK-CU alongside it. You might try combining them since it could calm the eczema.

I hadn't thought about reta and PCOS before but it makes sense. My girlfriend has PCOS and is starting reta now, so I'll pass along any good changes I hear. Some women online mention dropping stubborn fat.

I did well on tirz for eight months but then switched to semaglutide and haven't hit my goal after ten months, though weight stayed stable. I just ordered reta hoping to drop the last eighteen pounds and will update on how it goes.

Here's my experience in case it helps anyone considering a GLP-1. I weighed 180 with A1C at 6.8, all belly weight, poor cholesterol, and fatty liver. Only treatment offered was birth control pills until high blood pressure ruled them out and PCOS symptoms got worse. After a year on sema then a year on tirz I lost 35 pounds but had to pause because of weekly vomiting and upcoming surgery. I gained back fifteen pounds in three months off. Last week I began reta at 2 mg and already dropped about four pounds with more fullness and less hunger. Earlier blood work showed A1C down to 5.5 and ALT improved though still high, along with better cholesterol overall.
