I’ve seen reports that GLP-1 drugs can also ease gout symptoms, so maybe the score is closer than it looks.
Current score is Gout way ahead of me. It’s been roughly seven years since the first attack and things have steadily worsened. I’m 45 now. What used to be one or two episodes a year has turned into one every six to eight weeks. Colchicine helps but it bothers my stomach and kidneys. It usually takes four to seven days to kick in. I’m avoiding allopurinol for now because of possible long-term effects on liver and kidneys, so I’m going to try every peptide that might reduce or prevent flares. I’ll test them one at a time before considering any combinations. If something works I may stack later, but for now the experiment starts. I’m already on retatrutide one milligram every four days and tesamorelin one milligram Sunday through Thursday. First peptide is KPV for eight weeks beginning at the first sign of an attack, taken daily in the morning. Doses rise from two hundred micrograms the first week up to five hundred micrograms from week four onward. Flare started late on the twentieth of June in the right big toe. Peptide began the next day.
