Personal blog to record my Sema + Reta journey

18 replies5 peopleApr 17, 2026☆ Follow
Summary

How does stacking semaglutide with retatrutide work for short-term weight loss when already on a high sema dose?

The original poster tracked four weeks of 2.4 mg weekly semaglutide plus escalating retatrutide (0.5 mg to 2.5 mg), dropping from 104.8 lb to 100.6 lb before a vacation rebound. Later posts showed continued loss to 99 lb on the higher reta dose, with plans to switch to tirzepatide plus reta. A second user reported 5 kg loss on 2 mg reta every six days after prior tirzepatide use, noting better bowel function with added KPV.

What this discussion establishesStill open

Whether adding tirzepatide to retatrutide will produce faster or more sustainable results than the prior sema-reta combination

Nothing here is advice.

Hi, I'm going to treat this thread like a personal log for my sema plus reta experience. Right now I'm combining 2.4 mg of wegovy with 0.5 mg retatrutide. I gave myself the reta shot about twenty minutes ago. The reason I'm running both is to avoid wasting the sema prescription. Sema goes in on Monday nights and reta on Thursday nights. Starting weight is 104.8 pounds at four foot nine. Target is 94 to 96 pounds in four weeks because of an event coming up.

Progress looks great! 0.5 mg reta works well as a stack dose, but if you move fully over to reta later you will probably need to raise the dose quickly to keep appetite down and prevent rebound. I'm a guy and this is just my experience, but taking myo and d-chiro inositol in the morning seems to help curb hunger too, and it's commonly recommended for PCOS. Don't buy ovasitol because it's overpriced. Hope you hit your goal and feel great at the event. I've been tracking calories and running a lot and dropped about twelve pounds in three weeks. This stuff is really nice.

Thanks! Yes I'm already on a ton of supplements for my PCOS and yes the myo d-chiro is one of them. I feel pretty okay on 0.5 mg of reta. I think I'll raise it to 1.0 mg next week.

Forty-eight hour update: no side effects except tender abdominal muscles, especially right at the injection site. It's not bad enough to be a problem though.

One week update. Current weight is 102.8 pounds, so two pounds down since last Thursday. Took the wegovy shot Monday night and now dealing with stomach issues, going to the bathroom often and losing a lot of fluid. I'm okay with that because it seems to be helping drop extra water weight. Tomorrow I'll do the second reta shot and plan to go up to 1.0 mg.

This pairing ought to strip away plenty of excess mass quickly. Do you also perform strength work?

I don't engage in any workouts or heavy lifting. My routine keeps me quite inactive overall. The only steps I take come from my daily trip to work and back, totaling under five thousand. Focusing on food intake is what I'm doing. I generally consume just a single meal each day that includes protein along with soup.

LevelBramble55archiveApr 24

Update: I just gave myself the second reta dose at 1.0 mg. Weight right now is 103.6 pounds. Hopefully I lose three pounds by next Thursday.

Hang tight for a bit. They plan to match you up with an enforced casual fitness type soon. Get set ahead of time by taking in two full jugs of dairy liquid daily. Fighting it will do no good.

That would be fantastic! Thinking about employing a bodyweight exercise specialist in the greater New York region.

It's nearly Tuesday tomorrow but the three pounds haven't come off. Part of this is on me because I usually stick to one meal daily. Having two yesterday kept my weight at the same 103.6 pounds instead of dropping to around 102. Since the recent increase I'm noticing some unwanted effects like difficulty going to the bathroom and a bit of swelling from that. Because I ate late yesterday evening I'm going to fast for a day and a half while drinking only green juice to ease the discomfort. My shot is scheduled for tonight and I'm hoping it moves everything forward.

Yesterday evening I had my dose. Everything seems okay. The bowel issue isn't bad anymore.

Latest conclusion here. On the Friday of May 14 in 2006 my weight reached its lowest point during this period at 100.6 pounds. Starting from 104.8 pounds back on April 16 of 2026 I reached that 100.6 mark by May 14 in 2026. Over those four weeks the drop came to 4.2 pounds altogether. In my view combining Tirzepatide alongside Reta might have produced stronger outcomes. After returning from time away my current weight stands at 107.0 pounds. Two additional doses of wegovy remain available through my coverage plan. Within the next fourteen days I plan to switch over to Terzepatide and begin a fresh discussion about combining Terz with Reta.

I wasn't truthful earlier. I'll keep posting updates in this discussion several additional times before the semaglutide prescription is fully depleted. Right now my weight stands at 102.6 pounds. The extra pounds gained during the trip were probably just fluid retention. That explains the rapid loss afterward. Only two pounds remain until I hit the weight I had before the trip, which is 100.8 pounds.

This marks my last check-in ahead of moving across to the new compound. My scale now shows 99 pounds. I bumped the present dose up to 2.5 milligrams during the prior week and the numbers keep falling fast. I can hardly contain my excitement. Beginning tomorrow I will combine the pair. I am eager to track further changes. I want to hit 85 pounds.

Enjoying this thread a lot with all the progress reports!! My circumstances match closely since I'm petite too and don't have a huge amount to shed (5”2 with a target of dropping 12kg). Last year I lost 13kg on a treatment but ended up with some loose skin because of the rapid change so I put some back on and began once more using a different option. Right now taking 2mg on a 6 day cycle and my weight has gone down from 72.4kg to 67.5kg over roughly 5-6 weeks 🥰 Also discovered that a certain compound really reduces the constipation issue!! Constipation has been a long term problem for me yet now everything seems to function much more regularly!

Appreciate it a lot and congrats on how far you’ve come, that’s really impressive. Feeling hopeful this mix might work out well for both of us. Sharing my closing numbers here. After using those two together I reached 99 pounds. Began the newest one at half a milligram, moved up to two point five and expect to keep it there. The other one stayed at two point four milligrams, the top level offered. This is probably my last comment in this discussion. Have now started the fresh pair and gave myself the opening injection of five milligrams today. Will open a separate discussion to track my experience going forward. Looking forward to seeing you in that spot.

Wow, you're looking incredible! It's got me thinking about starting up a personal log myself. After reaching my goal weight, I plan to add some toned and visible muscle, particularly around my stomach area. 🥰

Without any workouts I hit what I wanted. My way is through eating right. Lately though some sagging skin has shown up. So now I need to start pumping iron to firm up my body and get defined.
