My training today features deadlifts paired with work on the back and triceps.
Daily workout logs and split variations for strength training with weight loss and travel
I spent fifty minutes on a gentle jog today then trained legs and abs inside the gym.
Working on legs and shoulders this evening. After the recent dieting and workout stretch before my trip, it's nice switching things up now. Using bigger loads with fewer repetitions and adding a recovery day midweek. I'll stick to this approach over the next few months while sharpening focus on my targets for the coming year. Time to keep grinding, fellas!!
My training session today went really well. I hit chest and back. Managed to double the number of reps on deadlifts, switched to fifties on flyes, plus boosted reps on everything else. Feeling good about the cycle and the classic program I'm using. Without the loose skin I'd look totally cut. Appreciate the peptides and gear so much.
Completed an effective session targeting my pecs and biceps.
Went to the gym today focusing on legs plus some core stability work.
Took the shelter dogs out for a walk yesterday covering about four or five miles. Hit shoulders and arms this morning.
Covered 22 miles backpacking over Monday and Tuesday. Hit the gym today for a semi-private session. The bear crawl felt especially rough on my knees after all the steep uphill and downhill with a heavy pack.
Upper body tonight. This session is my favorite since my wife joins me for it. She enjoys strength training but thinks my pace on heavy days is far too slow. Keep pushing big dogs!!
Big chest and tri day today!! Really enjoying eating more calories and training with heavier weights!! Keep pushing big dogs!! Happy labor day as well everyone!!
Covered five miles with the shelter dogs this morning.
Happy Monday! Cardio first thing this morning. Deadlifts, back work and tris this afternoon. I'm within two plates of being able to rep my full stack on pushdowns.
Put in 50k on Zwift and picked up a green jersey on one of the sprint sections.
Broke my toe yesterday. Walking is not great right now. Probably nothing for two weeks, then seated upper body only for two weeks after that before deciding what comes next. No bueno.
Chest and back today. Thinking about skipping the lift on the 11th so I can climb 110 flights of stairs in remembrance instead.
Chest and bis tonight. Took every chest press movement to failure. Totally smoked... but in a good way.
20k on Zwift tonight. Starting to notice some quad vascularity.
Fullbody push session today. Time to get some revenge on the hack squat now that I have new weight lifting shoes.
I've been considering these particular sneakers because my ankles don't bend very well. That bit of extra height under the back of the foot seems noteworthy and could let me set my feet lower when doing hack squats or leg presses. I'd like to hear how others have gotten on with them.
It's deadlift day for my four-day lifting program. I prefer doing things out of the usual sequence, starting with the main heavy lift after warming up, followed by the lighter follow-up sets. For the assistance part, I'm following the boring but big option by doing ten reps of squats five times, and with whatever's left I'll hit some chin-ups, side shoulder work, core holds, plus some running. Almost seven days without tobacco, but I'm handling the cravings by staying high constantly, using an e-cig, and munching on packaged snacks. Right now any aerobic work or just getting out of breath feels awful because my breathing is struggling. Still, I'm aware that all these habits don't compare in badness to puffing on tobacco sticks.
I love BBB! The volume is getting pretty tough for me to handle anymore though.
Squat shoes plus knee sleeves or wraps are basically a cheat code! Love them. I've got a cheap pair of squat shoes.
I wear knee and elbow sleeves. They give good support and keep the joints warm. Been happy with them so far.
Did 135 flights of stairs then went for an after dinner walk with the wife.
Guess that means they're fantastic? Not serious though, but cheers for the advice. Nice to have reliable details prior to spending money.
Upper body session this evening, covered a range of moves, feeling powerful and eager to keep going hard over the next three months with all the usual training volume, keep grinding big dogs!!
