My workouts started back in February, and I've taken some energy boosters on those occasions when my motivation was low. I'm wondering about the supplements people here rely on for their sessions. Have you found them helpful or not really? Mine just ran out, so I'm interested in hearing about the options others go for.

BrightAnchor19archiveMay 3

Those supplements before exercise used to leave me feeling shaky and overstimulated. So I started taking in creatine along with beta alanine first in higher amounts, then continued with smaller daily portions afterward. Now what I have before training is just a large mug of coffee plus some water in a shaker. Training on an empty stomach early in the day suits me.

QuietKettle32archiveMay 3

Double Espresso and Honey. I am interested in trying that other compound though.

BlueSignal52archiveMay 3

I really enjoy this brand a lot. Their pre workout without stimulants fits me well because I skip caffeine entirely. I take their creatine blend that also has HMB.

ClearQuill84archiveMay 3

These days I'm sticking with just my morning brew plus some citrulline. Those heavy combos that scramble your head no longer appeal, since the aftereffects slam you way too hard. If this simple combo starts falling short I might toss in a little alanine with arginine, though right now it feels unnecessary.

Supplies ran low earlier so testing this out comes tomorrow instead. Creatine mixes into the shake following exercise sessions. Appreciate the suggestion! Looking into citrulline has been recent. A pattern appears to be forming. Checking further details on those items is next. Grateful to the group!

No worries dude. I usually front-load creatine by splitting twenty grams across multiple doses daily for seven days straight. Following that period I switch to a five gram maintenance amount. At full saturation I also notice improvements in mental clarity. For beta alanine my routine is five grams daily mixed into a protein shake or just regular fluid. I steer clear of anything with citrus or acid because it interferes with the creatine effectiveness. Hope your training goes well!

Citrulline has been around a long time. Yet lately people are using it alone more often, so you have a point there. Before pausing my training sessions years back from a shoulder problem, I always took it mixed in with other products. When I resumed exercise lately I chose to test it solo. From my view this matches exactly what I needed. It offers no kick at all, yet it supplies solid focus and better results during both cardio and lifting weights. I have tried plenty of strong pre-workout formulas before, but I no longer want that intense energized rush.

ClearQuill84archiveMay 3

Wrong forum mate 😁

BlueLantern10archiveMay 3

Not my thing lol but thanks I had to google it.

ClearMarble41archiveMay 4

I noticed the same thing with most supplements before exercise, they tend to make me feel shaky. The ones without caffeine seem to have little effect beyond adding taste. For my early sessions, I usually drink a small coffee and maybe eat a bit of bread if I expect extended aerobic activity. It works well enough.

The contrast in pre-workout formulas between Canada and the United States stands out massively. Canada prohibits several substances allowed elsewhere. I tried the American version once and that was enough. My insides seemed to buzz with electricity and my veins pulsed intensely. Every version available in Canada stays quite gentle by comparison.

BrightMeadow28archiveMay 4
↳ replying to @QuietKettle32

I took time to review the details on that substance thoroughly. This isn't an energizer of any sort. It produced no sensation like those formulas taken ahead of exercise.

SlowSignal40archiveMay 4

Although creatine forms part of my routine I never consume it prior to physical activity. These days I prefer a mixture containing modaf-bemethyl-methylene blue along with epicatechin and two additional products.

Seems like I could use that enforcer character for another plain language version... chuckle. Went through every online search myself. No success tracking down the item anywhere here in Canada.

Those weren't included with what arrived here. Still I can handle the helpful role though. Damn never mind just a moment.

Up here in New York that peanut butter is nowhere to be found these days. Deliveries quit arriving about five years back owing to the high cost of transport and weak demand. It's the absolute best peanut butter there is.

SlowSignal40archiveMay 4

I glanced at those cities along with the item... pausing to think... yeah spotted it now... sitting among everything else I can't stand.

PatientFenwick91archiveMay 4

Just to give some background, my sessions skip all aerobic work and stick to a heavy strength lifting approach, so that affects what I select for before training. Beforehand I typically eat a piece of fruit. When I feel particularly low on energy I take a caffeine pill with 100mg to help get moving. I actually focus more on intake during the workout, often choosing a beverage with taurine plus caffeine and assorted B vitamins or else a mineral replenishing option instead. From what I've seen, keeping stored carbohydrates topped up delivers better results than any pre training product after trying lots of versions and even making a few on my own.

BlueTimber78archiveMay 4

Does anyone know whatever happened to the original Craze formula? I wonder whether people here recall trying that one. It stood out as the top version I ever tried, and I believe it contained an amphetamine-like compound. I would probably take it again today if it still existed. Some of the longtime users around here likely got to experience it themselves.

WryBramble37archiveMay 4

Yeah, same here. My bottle gets filled using that mix plus an electrolyte pack. Look up the components yourself online. Beta alanine is in there, leading to a slight tingling sensation on the skin after consumption. This aids muscle glycolysis during physical activity. Additionally, it eases arm pump issues while riding dirt bikes.

ClearThistle40archiveMay 6

I got into this one at first just for the mixing bottle included yet now after sampling several alternatives I keep returning because the tastes are really appealing.

WrySignal84archiveMay 9

Zero sugar energy drinks along with one or two puffs of rosin tend to handle things well enough in my experience.

GreenLedger62archiveMay 10

That old formula from years ago really fired me up for training. Nothing I've tried since has come close, as they all seem about as useless as some bland caffeine-free brew.

ClearMeadow73archiveMay 12
↳ replying to @GreenLedger62

Back then we took that preworkout powder when going out at night haha These days I grab an amino blend to get the boost from caffeine plus my usual creatine each day. It lets me skip the shaky nerves and the prickly skin.

GreenBeacon77archiveMay 13
↳ replying to @GreenLedger62

Years ago that product really impressed me with how well it performed. Eventually though officials banned it on account of an intense fabricated energizer it had that works comparable with amphetamine plus ephedrine. No surprise then that nothing since has matched that feeling lol.

SlowSignal40archiveMay 13

Today I hit the weights following an eight-day break. At the beginning of the day I took Tesofensine along with Nitro wood, Cognisport, Euphoria and modafinil. Prior to exercising I did a single nasal spray of salbutamol. Even though I have the flu, this session ranked among my top performances.

AmberHarbour39archiveMay 13

Any particular maker you lean toward?

BrightSparrow63archiveMay 13

Man I've tried tons of these workout boosters and two stand out for me overall. One hits super hard so if you're not used to heavy stimulants stay away from it. I saw someone online mention they only use half a serving and figured it must not be that rough. Grabbed some anyway took the full amount then headed straight to train and right away my gut felt like it was emptying out completely. Whatever they put in there the drop afterward is brutal my skull throbs like it got smashed and I have to sprawl on something chilly just to settle down. The muscle swelling feels solid though. Usually I reach for the milder option but on days when everything irritates me I switch to the stronger stuff.

QuietAlder25archiveMay 13

My usual coffee stays at three to four cups each day. Besides that I take citrulline with creatine and a two hundred microgram injection of kisspeptin. The injection happens no less than three hours ahead of my workout.

I like to think of myself as someone pretty familiar with these training supplements. They hardly ever do much for me these days but I go back to when the really intense versions first showed up if that rings a bell. Right now there's just one blend I take every single day because it supplies both the drive and the muscle fullness and it even turns audio into visuals.

LevelMarble91archiveMay 13

There's a pre-workout supplement that I enjoy quite a bit. Occasionally I try another brand's version as well. Most of the time I take only a partial serving since I consume caffeine beforehand too. Recently I've been skipping those supplements more often because I've discovered some compounds that I take roughly twenty minutes prior to exercising work really well and I don't rely on the others nearly as frequently.

For better endurance on the road bike I'm taking 2250 mg of beta alanine spread throughout the day along with my usual 3 to 5 g of creatine each day. What saturation level and maintenance dose did you settle on for the beta alanine?

BrightAnchor19archiveMay 13
↳ replying to @SlowLantern46

A daily three grams of beta alanine is considered sufficient. Your creatine amount looks right too.

SlowLantern46archiveMay 13
↳ replying to @BrightAnchor19

Thanks, that means I only need another 750 mg. Did I misread your earlier post about reaching saturation with beta alanine after a certain period and then lowering the dose for maintenance?

BrightAnchor19archiveMay 13

The suggestion is anywhere from two to five grams. Saturation takes about four weeks, after which the dose can be reduced, maybe down to two grams. It depends on how you feel though, and I have been fine just taking three grams daily.

AmberHarbour39archiveMay 13

I have used it for so long that it no longer feels as strong.

Caffeine tablets have worked well for me for years and I would recommend them.

QuietQuill30archiveMay 13

I have stuck with the same pre-workout product for years but wonder if the caffeine content is still enough now that I have built up a tolerance.

KeenPebble10archiveMay 14

Only water for me.

PatientCompass47archiveMay 14

I use loud music and anger!

PatientFenwick39archiveMay 14

A bit pricey but it really works.

BrightBeacon35archiveMay 14

BrightBeacon35archiveMay 14

I also used the earlier version that contained the stronger stimulant back when people did not know any better.

Sort of resembles gravity-defying capsules. Increasing the dosage makes items in the vicinity seem less weighty.

QuietKettle32archiveMay 14

Update: I began the peptide this week as a pre-workout at 500 mcg the first day one hour before training to check for reactions, then 1 mg daily. Today was the fifth dose. I still take a double espresso with honey thirty minutes prior for the quick caffeine hit. After the fourth dose I noticed a change. Normally I feel drained for hours after lifting, but now I have steady energy the rest of the day. It is not an immediate booster but works as an all-day one for me.

QuietSignal61archiveMay 15

Honey, creatine, beta alanine, citrulline plus agmatine or alternatively a low dose of tadalafil, plus whatever caffeine I need. Bromantane is another option. I avoid blends, multivitamins, peptides, and pre-workout products.

QuietSignal61archiveMay 15
↳ replying to @QuietKettle32

Two to five milligrams of the peptide works right away for me.

QuietKettle32archiveMay 15
↳ replying to @QuietSignal61

Thanks, I will try two milligrams one day and see how it goes.
